@@maddyleaf Most bands nowadays usually don't have only 1 genre but instead combining different genres together. It's not uncommon for bands to merge post-hardcore with Metalcore and Pop/Hip Hop/ Rap or other elements together. It makes the music overall more diverse and dynamic.

Bands like Converge, curlupandie, burnt by the sun, Dill, Lamb of God, God forbid, these we called metalcore. Bands that had more metal to it or were just plain ole carnage like Celphalic carnage. The rest was just hardcore. Unless it had a lot of singing, then it was just punk (screamo, emocore). Norma, evergreen, 18 visions, everytime I die, bane, coalesce Shai hulud ect these we called hardcore. MTV ruined life for so many people and genres😂🎉

Nobody but posers and 14 year old scene queens liked Asking alexandria. They were and always have been low quality trash. Their most famous riff is very literally a direct attack attack ripoff.

@@FrogWalrus They were a fairly good Post-Hardcore band that greatly influenced the early 2010's Scene and had a huge impact on the development of coming Post-hardcore and new Metalcore bands from 2009 to 2014. They didn't take themselves so serious like all the previous Metalcore bands used to. Also they released some very good bangers, such as "The Prophecy" for example)

I would have so many albums to pick from from 2004, that was my sweet spot, I had just turned 21, and going to shows became a Lot more fun than when I was 16. Killswitch Unearth Candiria 36crazyfist Kittie God forbid Slipknot All released great albums that year.

Corrections for 2006-2009: 2006: ATR - The Fall of Ideals (duh) 2007: AILD - An Ocean Between Us (have to have AILD on this list) 2008: UO - Lost in the Sound of Separation (throw UO a bone for taking off Define. LITSOS is really solid) 2009: ABR - Constellations (duh) Bonus pick: 2011: MMF - The Hollow
