@@COJred1As someone who plays a mono White Lae'zel deck of my own (with Noble Heritage), even when I make a point of telling the table that my deck can be a problem real quick, it often gets left alone until it's way too late to deal with.

Easily hands down my fav commander channel! Is there a video on how you build commander decks? You always have interesting decks that play well and would appreciate your thought process on deck building which is a skill I lack as a newer player!

@@astonrichardson5288 with Pitiless and Manufactor, and sac outlet works. Viscera, etc. Sac, get treasure from Plunderer, triggers Manufactor also making a food. Sac food for the Cat, repeat.

It's interesting because in principle planeswalkers are 'bad' in commander because they die to being attacked but often that actually just doesn't happen.

I love to see Lae'zel going the mono White route rather than the easy answer of Master Chef as the Background. Mine uses Noble Heritage and a bunch of Planeswalkers as a Voltron strategy, she can very easily knock out a player on turn 4-5 and just steamroll the table.

I really like the Lae'Zel deck take on planeswalkers and tokens. I've only ever seen her combined with "Master Chef".

Master Chef is the obvious power pick, but she's pretty strong with just about any Background she can work with. I use her with Noble Heritage as a Voltron/Planeswalker deck, she gets real big real quick.

If you play Niko and make two shard tokens, can the tokens attack once you go to combat if there is a legal target for them to copy? Do they still get summoning sickness even though they arent creatures when they enter?

They would still count as having entered that turn, so unless you had a way to give them haste, they sadly could not attack.

extraplanar lens should have also doubled nick's mana and increased andrew's mana

It did. I think Andrew missed it, but if you look at Nick, there are 8 Plains and only 6 were tapped for 12 mana. Then came a 4-drop, 5-drop, 1-drop and an equip cost. The only other mistake on that turn was Corwin can't activate Cauldron Familiar because of Myrel's static ability. Thankfully that didn't change the outcome.

Cauldron Familiar can recur itself by saving a Food. At instant speed, mind you.

You actually can use the ability in the graveyard this is from the gatherer page. Myrel, Shield of Argive's first ability prevents opponents from activating abilities of permanents on the battlefield that are artifacts, creatures, and/or enchantments. It doesn't prevent activated abilities from cards in any zone other than the battlefield. Notably, this means that your opponents may still activate abilities of cards in their graveyard (such as unearth).

So nice to see another mono-white Planeswalkers deck. Lets me compare it to mine, see what cards work better or worse than I was expecting. I probably should be running Cut a Deal. Also, I'd like to note for anyone who may not be aware that the character of Niko Aris uses they/them pronouns.

Uh! Thanks for the video! Some annotations! U don’t know every card (especially planeswalker) and in this video they disappear soooo quickly, would be huge to have them on the screen for a While or even integrate their abilities in the voice over 😊

Too bad there is no Myrel decklist. I play Myrel a lot and haven't really seen all those lifegain cards in a Myrel deck and there was no payoff to the lifegain played in this game. Didn't see any of the soldiers you would expect usually in a Myrel deck or any of the token multipliers either, so it's impossible to know what the Myrel deck is going for from this game.

This looks like its just random cards thrown together without much synergy. Most of the time i was very confused because there were so many non-soldiers Basically the T1 soul warden made Nick a target since he had the most life. However his deck wasnt very cohesive so he couldnt do much and got one shot lol

i just hate the animations at this point. i shouldnt have to pause every 5 or so seconds to read a card like the damn commanders or planeswalker just because someone thought 2s of blend in would be enough to read 10 lines, follow narration and a board state all at once. cards are getting more n more complex, the animation isnt long enough, please change this, man. you blend out cards faster than wotc shits out content, make it readable, i cant watch these in peace 🫠 edit: im not exactly new to magic or edh, these must be entirely unwatchable to a new player. i wanna understand what im watching, not just mindlessly look at 'person is playing random card, ten triggers or whatever happen just because' i dare you to read the blood token equipment, cauldron familiar, any of the commanders and especially the planeswalker in time, i cannot do it, even tho i already know cards like cauldron familiar..

These videos have always been faster and for more experienced audiences. The cards are all there for you to pause and read, but even if you don't read all the cards I doubt the boardstate is difficult to pause and log on the screen. If you are rusty on mtg and want a more explanation and nuanced discussion on boardstates and cards, this isn't your channel to watch. And if you too confused and overwhelmed by all the cards and reading everything, EDH isn't your format.
