this reminds me of how my villager beau murdered cheri. one day i was walking around my island and she seemed troubled, she asked to leave the island. I said yes and the next day she was packing up to leave all day. the next day though... beau sent me a letter with her bones inside..... (it was a fossil but idc lol) i held onto it for a long time but i ended up losing it bc beau stole it from me (i actually ended up selling it on accident lol). beau ended up burying it bc ac villagers are a bit brain dead lol and i found it again and decided to give cheri a proper memorial service and i buried the bones under a grave on the secret beach. the killer, beau, still walks free to this day...
