While the Nuggets dont have all stars, they have a good team with everyone in their right places. Michael Porter Jr and Murry are really good players.

Nuggets 2nd superstar/star/allstar, Jamal, was also not available for almost 2 years and 2 post seasons that Jokic had been great. That's unfortunate but it's part of the NBA.

Joker has all the qualities a great player should have and he has improved them because of his exceptionnal professionalism, his mentality and his mental. And despite this perfect mastery, he remained creative. And he knew how to adapt his game to his body shape to avoid injuries and excels in mastering the 2, to continue to progress. I've never seen it taken to this extreme and such an IQ in 50 years. His personnality and the fact that he his discreet, respectful, cherful and humble, make him an example for young people, and undoubtedly make him my Top1 and yet I loved MJ, Bird, Duncan, Nash, Magic, Hakeem, etc.. Joker is not far from perfection and he is A, if not THE, Reference now.

Jokic doesn't say that he's the best, he shows us with his game. Unlike someone else I know.
@mickeylee26248 ай бұрын
Jokic has been playing like the second best player of all time, albeit with lesser defense but also a lesser supporting cast. Similar in the sense of smarts over athleticism, awesome rebounding, hyper-efficient shooting from all three levels, and insane playmaking as a big man. Of course, the parallels to Bird is not because of their complexion but because like Larry, Nikola should have been the first since Bird to 3-peat MVP.
@tonydeveyra46118 ай бұрын
I know I'm going out on a limb with this wild prediction...but fuck it. I predict that by the time he retires, Jokic will have 3-5 rings and will be in the GOAT conversation with Jordan, with most of the pro-Jordan crowd arguing that Jokic can't be the GOAT because he was an average defender. The dude is that good.
@skap_attack8 ай бұрын
Five rings would certainly be out on a limb at this point. I think 3 is definitely feasible and that would put him top 10 alone. IF he does get to 5, I think we are talking possible Mount Rushmore for sure. BUT the higher you get in these discussions, the more discerning the conversation becomes. AND Jokic's average defense will be factored in, I think.
@TheTagues94218 ай бұрын
While Jokic is probably going to be a hall of famer saying that he is close to MJ is outrageous cuz Jokic has to win more rings and be like DPOY Elite to be in the conversation at all.

I've always said the media loves marketing players that play a flashy perimeter-oriented game. The media loves highlights of crossovers, 3s, stepbacks, drives to the basket, athleticism, and dunks. Jokic's game isn't like a Luka, SGA, Curry, KD, LeBron, etc and that's why those guys get more marketing than the reigning champions.

maybe because fans like watching flashy moves?

Jokic is a very good player but you said it… he is a HUGE beneficiary of this spaced out, no defense, more possessions era. Not his fault… however this does more to highlight how inflated stats are for other greats in this era who are clearly more gifted/ talented then Jokic. It actually hurts this eras case in comparison to others and helps the case of greats of past eras.

Jokic would be just as dominant in the 90s
@JohnZ228 ай бұрын
@@ry_an. doubt it. Lower pace, tighter defenses, and he would not get as much time because most coaches emphasized defense, especially from a big. He would have been a liability on that side of the floor. He is a liability on D in this era too it’s just masked quite a bit because defense horrid
