HE had no right to burn the letter. Nikolas has the right to feel however he wants about his father,

It was a reoccurring theme that Lucky was the only one that had a right to a life. Right or wrong Lucky got to make mistakes. And everyone supported Lucky no matter what he did. Nikolas was always made to feel like his life should be dedicated to the Spencers. It was kind of perverse that Luke killed his grandfather and "father" and now Nikolas was a doormat for Luke and his family. I still can't believe Nikolas named his son after the man that bullied and abused him. Nikolas stepped away from being the Spencers' lap dog to protect Gia. And they all shunned him. He wasn't back in their good graces until he was hiding Rick's body to protect... surprise surprise the Spencers.

Regardless of everything that happened, I do think Starvros loves nikolas, despite what bad things he has done. Both things can be true. Lucky acting like stavros doesn’t deserve to have His son love him is insane considering luke has done some bad stuff too & was able to have relationships with his kids.
