How’s the d300 in low light situations? Some say it’s the same sensor as the d700 but a crop vs full frame but according to DxOMark the d300 is really bad low light iso, 679 to 2303 for the d700.

You must use 12Bit raw in order to get 7fps. It also get it with 12bit uncompressed. There is very little quality loss compared to 14bit.

Indeed. I realized that later in the video

Where do i buy a lense like that? Is expensive?
@too_many_cameras Жыл бұрын
From places like MPB, KEH and Ebay. I would personally recommend getting the Sigma 150-500mm or 150-600mm instead. I paid 230€ for the lens in the video

@@too_many_cameras Those are completely different lenses. Sig 100-300/4 is gem with plenty of resolution even for 24Mpix sensor. I have Pentax version which does not have HSM, but it is driven from body. Perfectly usable with F4.5. And camera body takes care about image stabilization too. Lens is also ok with 1.5x TC.

how this lens image quality?
@too_many_cameras8 ай бұрын
Depends on the copy. I've had one with great image quality and one with quite a bit worse.

How did you set it up? Same lens won't work on my d7000
@too_many_cameras Жыл бұрын
It should work without any set up. Make sure the aperture is set to f/32 to set it in camera and the focus switch is either on C or S

I was confused too when i got my Sigma 20mm 1.8, it has same type of aperture control. To use it with a modern camera you should set it to f/32 on the lens and then you can set whatever aperture you want in the camera settings. That's a Sigma thing, they did it for some time...

Did you crop the images? Birds like in your video are too small to fill the frame interpretable. I recently bought a D300s now waiting for get it to hands.

All of them were uncropped. What lens did you go with? 300mm on a crop body isn't long enough i feel
