Nikon D750 - how much better than Nikon D610?

I bought the D610 and the D750 last year as two cameras I couldn't afford to buy ten years ago. I enjoy shooting with both, but I am drawn a little more to the D610. It is simple to use, yet the image quality is superb. It is a great option for a full-frame with a lot of value. The autofocus system is not the greatest, but I don't mind focusing and recompose like I did in years past. This is more of a photographer's camera and not so much the video, unless it's used on a tripod or gimble. A wifi adapter is an option to connect to this camera in order to transfer photos to your smartphone. I have transferred photos from the D610 to my Android phone running on Android 14. It is very slow to transfer with today's standards, but it still works and I'm glad there is a option. The D750 has a great grip and makes it more comfortable to hold on the hands. This camera has some nice features that the D810 doesn't have, such has built-in wifi and the tilting screen. I find the D750 the all-around camera that can be used for many types of shooting, from weddings to some sports. I transferred photos using Nikon's Snapbridge app and works well. In video mode, you can adjust the aperture while in live view mode, while the D610 doesn't have this feature. If someone wants the camera with the bells and whistles, get the D750. If you want to get into full-frame that has high image quality for less money, get the D610.

I have both. I had the D610 and got the D750 later, to have the D610 as a backup. The grip alone on the D750 is so good compared to the D610, that I haven't shot the D610 once since. I do have a problem with the D750 though. When I turn on the camera and have a shutter speed faster than 1/500sec, the mirror locks up until you press the shutter button again. It does it only once though and doesn't affect use otherwise. I have had no problems with the D610.

Hi! Thank you for this relevant information. So, at shutter speed faster than 1/500 you have to press the shutter button twice after turning on the camera when you take the first photo (but not again when you take the second one)? Did I understand you correctly? Thanks!

I have both of them and I practice with both of them and I find out that they're out of focus system of the d750 is a bit Superior than the 16th plus 3750 has professional out of focal system🎉

Regarding the D750...If you get a good copy. Mine, and many others have a problem with mirror locking up when shooting at a fast shutter speed, and this problem was never addressed with a recall.

Really? Never shot beyond 3fps (don't need to) but I hadn't heard about that issue till now.

@@tom_photo Well there was a shutter issue concerning some serial nrs but never heard of a mirror sticking issue.
