I think why Nikon made some of their lenses as large as they did was to give outstanding image quality while still minimizing focus breathing compared to the competition.

Just a suggestion, you should lower tje black level and shadows level in videp editing as your videos are looking a little fade out and whites are also too strong, i think that would make more attracting looking videos. Btw great work man always looking forward to your videos and news.❤❤

Hi Frames, my friend. I kind of chuckle as I watch your video and hear your wishes for "lighter" premium lenses, like the upcoming Nikon Z 35mm f1.2. When I shot full frame with my Nikon DSLR cameras, I had mostly Sigma Art lenses. I loved them and they created beautiful images, but they were certainly heavier than their Nikon F mount counterparts, and much heavier than the Nikon Z lenses. So, I remind myself that our wishes for lighter gear is understandable, but I sure love the resolution, sharpness, speed and quality of my Nikon Z lenses. In fact, every time I think about buying new gear and I think; "Do I really need the Z 24-70mm f2.8 or would I be okay with the Z 28-75mm f2.8 or the Z 24-70 f4, I go for the quality of the image, rather than for the lesser cost or lighter weight. Fortunately, I can still afford my indulgences and I keep up with my exercise program so that my aging body can lug the camera gear of choice to the next shooting location. Be well!!

With Nikon's interest in the video space, it makes no sense that they would release any lenses with clickable aperture rings. Everyone should just take advantage of being able to adapt whatever lenses they want to the Z mount instead.

The picture of the so called 1.2/35mm was a slightly photoshopped 1.2/85mm. As far as I remember it was the focus ring that was shortened in PS. So it was only an Aprils fool joke…

f1.2? Who needs that? Only geeks and pixel peepers, not people who make a proper living from photography. I am a professional videographer and we all shoot at F8 and use manual focus because with video, everything has to be in focus.
