Great video Phil and the Z50 looks to be a great little camera for photography and vlogging. Beautiful images. Thanks for sharing the video 👍🙏

Thanks Adrian. The Z50 images get noisy pretty quickly at higher ISOs and it's buffer is way too small for it's 11 FPS shooting mode, otherwise I'm pretty thrilled with it.

Phil, I just love your photography and really appreciate that you include all the info with each photo. I have been considering picking up a Z50 myself and you just may have convinced me to do so...now if I can just convince the wife I need another camera.

@@PhilThach thank you for the entertainment! The Eagles are about ready to fly north so im about to so some waterfall photography myself, I could take a picture of the Ozarks just 30 miles to my north and it looks exactly like your area..We have the highest waterfall between the Rockies and the Appalachian's at 209 feet..The only problem is that I don't think you could get camera gear to it without taking a fall, the trail is several miles ( if I remember correctly and very steep ) but I am thinking on renting a canoe because you can get to it easily via the Buffalo river..If that don't work out it's not like we have a shortage of 10 to 50 footers..Im not an experienced at canoeing so I dont trust myself with $2k worth of gear in a canoe on a river with rapids..lol...I can drive a 75mph bass boat with my eyes closed but put me in a canoe and im going swimming 😂😂..Anyway it looks like the Z50 is a bad little camera..Nikon keeps sending me that yellow offer to try it out for 30 days but I know I would keep it and im not sure its worth hearing the wife nagging me over another camera so soon ( I just bought a D500 back in December ) 😂😂😂

Nice pictures, beautiful landscapes! I love the waterfalls, and the slow motion videos❤️. By the way, did you postprocessed you videos from Z50? Or you could setup some camera settings in order that the video is good enough for KZbin juste straight of the camera?
@PhilThach3 жыл бұрын
It's been a while but I'm pretty sure the video footage was straight out of the Z50. No post processing.

Thanks for the Z50 vid Phil..I purchased one a few months ago to go along with my D7100..I planned on using the FTZ adapter with my present lenses, but was so pleasantly surprised with the kit lenses that I hardly ever use it...great shots !
@PhilThach4 жыл бұрын
I agree the kit lenses are really surprisingly good. Thanks for watching! Stay tuned. I have plenty more Z50 videos on the way as well as my normal Z6 content. :)

Beautiful photos. I'm p,a Ning on buying 5h3 2 lens kit for my soon to be wife. Getting married this October 3rd. She wants a beginner but pro quality camera mainly for photography. She wants to take nature shots and norma every dayl family photos ect...nothing to deep into the camera world lol I think the z50 will cover those bases more then enough. Thank for the video. It helped!

It's tough to be the Z50 for the price. Thanks for watching.
@kevinhawkins824 жыл бұрын
Love the images. Now a hard question, why would you pick a Z50 over a Z6? Are there any real differences except the crop factor? Is the image quality any different for landscapes?
@PhilThach4 жыл бұрын
Thank you. While I prefer the Z6 over the Z50 for landscapes, there are certain things about the Z50 that I really like for landscapes. It is tiny and light. The two kit lenses are really nice, especially for landscape work where a large aperture is not needed. I happen to own the Tokina 11-16 DX ultra-wide. So with that lens, an FTZ, and the two kit lenses, I have 16.5 through 375mm equivalent focal length in a kit that is really small, light and easy to carry. The Z50 really starts to shine for macro work where it's sensor has a higher pixel density than even a Z7! This spring I have been also carrying my 105mm Macro lens and making macro photos along the trail on the way to waterfalls. I'm enjoying the Z50 even more than I thought I would. I still love and use my Z6, but the Z50 is a keeper for sure.

@@PhilThach Great insight! Great Points. Light weight is a great thing when hiking! Using a tripod makes the no IBS of the Z50 no big deal. You are also using low ISO also. I am glad you like your Z50. Hope you are enjoying your L-Bracket, and Keep shooting!

Great video but you should get an electric gimbal if you get a chance so your footage doesnt shake and is silky smoothe, tho I think you may need to turn off lens VR while using a gimbal to avoid jitters but you can play around with it.

Which nd filter are you using ?
@PhilThach4 жыл бұрын
I don’t use expensive filters I think my three stop is made by TIFFEN, My 10 stop is a B + W and I have a five stop that also has a built-in CPL that is made by ICE.
