They are both very very nice camera. The ZVE10II is such a small and minimalist camera, with crazy good AF, Resolution and battery life. The Z50II is the perfect APS-C beginner photography camera. It even has precapture! Video capability is also a plus. I think the choice would be down to the prefered brand and lens system. Both are something we could only dream of at that price last year.

For your uses cases, I would definitely recommend the Z50 II

Thank you for the interesting video. Did you actually test and compare the AF on both cameras ? I'm sure many people would like to see the results of your test.

Glad you enjoyed the video. I did, they both performed quite well, but Sony takes the edge here. Has more focus points, and is also lightly faster. Should have showcased more of that in the video, but there's a brief segment in the product showcase mode where you can see the AF of both at 3:10

@@RawansReviews Thank you for your reply Sir. I did look at 3:10 but it is not obvious in order to evaluate. I think more thorough testing would be necessary. In any case, as you pointed out the Sony is not aimed at photographers but rather at vloggers. The absence of Both the EVF and mechanical shutter would make me not even consider the Sony. With regards to the " defocusing" of the ZV-E10 II that is done thru computational photography right ? keep up the good work. Cheers !

@@Cervin_Suissethe Z50II use the old sensor and the AF is quite worse than the ZVE10II especially in lowlight, Video AF, and when you use the Z to E adapter.

@@Nqk27123456 Thank you for the feedback however, when is it showed/documented ? "quite worse" is a strong statement. It is another story when a 3rd party lenses is used, can't blame the Z50 ii for that one. With regards to the sensor I'm not sure why Nikon did that. The cost of developing a new sensor is is huge. Perhaps they kept improvements such as a new sensor and iBIS for an upcoming flagship APSC ? Anyhow the Z50's sensors is very good and the files produced by that camera are excellent, as far as I'm concerned. Sometimes it is about not changing a winning team. Lot's of folks are frustrated not knowing what are Nikon's intentions for the APSC market.

@@Cervin_Suisse i test them myself. The Z50II could have some confuse moment during filming and I'm not confident leaving the AF to it under lowlight. In terms of focus speed, the Sony's new kit lens has crazy fast focus speed compares to the Nikon's so I'm not sure it was due to the body or the lens, but testing them side by side the Sony could grab action focus much quicker and more consistent. The Z50II focus performance with its kit lens is on par with the ZVE10 II focus performance with a 3rd party lens like Sigma 16 1.4

I got old Z50 and when rumors came new version, there is mention that will got ibis or/and ~25 mp sensor. I was thinking that must upgrade, but when product release and specs to find out that got same sensor and no ibis, I think that there is nothing to me upgrade. I wondering why Nikon does not put ibis on it. There is vr many lens that are available. Only those "big" teleobject and few kit-lenses got vr but almost every prime lense does not have vr, because full frame Nikon's Z mount cameras got ibis. Even famous Sigma trio got no vr. But if I do not have already first generation Z50 and need light travel camera, I defenetly buy Z50 mark II.

Maybe putting Ibis will increase size or weight...idk...or Nikon is stingy

I believe the closest competitor to the Z50ii is the Canon EOS R10.

@@1minuteofgaming596 it's lowlight and video AF is not good, and this new Z50II has 0.5s precapture which is a game changer. Not to mention Nikon has much better 3rd lens support.
