I've never ever seen a band like nile play there songs without a metronome/drum machine but play at the correct tempo and remain to keep there riffage tight as hell! Fantastic musicians.

Dallas and Karl are two of my biggest influences in guitar playing and I've noticed that I've started playing with that very closed picking stance of Dallas' while bobbing my head like Karl. In my opinion, it makes me play better.

@nisoldi16 жыл бұрын
as for volume knobs it is probably just because live they never use a clean tone, or if they do they have a seperate channel for i string gauge they talk about in some of their videos on Metalkult... I believe it is a custom gauge. Karl uses lighter strings than Dallas, but Dallas uses like an 11-70 with a wound 3rd

they have some really great right hand picking techniques. It's hard to do that on a les paul cause it's not flat where your picking. It's a lot easier to pick fast when your right hand is on a flat surface.

@Metalobsession94 Indeed they do. You can tell from this and other videos that these guys won't pack up Nile and leave it anytime soon. Dallas, Karl, George, they love what they do. Best kind of chemistry you can have in a band. -And their session bassist is now a full member =) I'm already dying for a new Nile record, and a new solo record from Karl.

I feel like a lot of people, including die-hard death metal fans just don't get Nile. I mean, (and this is just my own opinion) I think Nile are probably one of the most violent sounding death metal bands around. They're really isn't another band that sounds like them which depending on some people's opinions, may be a good thing. I wish there were more bands that sound like this though. There's just something about Karl and Dallas guitar tone or SOMETHING. I dunno man.
