What advice can u give to someone that has been producing for a long time, but feel like they are stuck? So my beats are cool and everything, but i feel like I'm missing some creativity or something to get to the next level. Still searching for what it really is that is holding me back, keeping me from getting there.

This is just my opinion. But as far as melodies, I would say textures or background sounds can definitely take your beats to a new level. The little things sometimes means more than we think.

For me, anytime I am stumped on creativity, it means that I am also feeling "stumped/stuck" in my real everyday life too. So I simply take a break from making beats if it feels forceful in any way, and allow myself to just go with the flow and do whatever seems fun to me for a few days, weeks, or even months. Then after gaining a new positive perspective in my life and therefore regaining a sense of inspiration and creativity, I go back to making beats - and somehow, I find it effortless to allow the creativity and new methods of producing to flow through me. So I think it is really a matter of creating a new state of being within your everyday life that is more "flowful" and less forceful. Because this seemingly unrelated change in your everyday being will translate perfectly into your music creation, giving you a completely new base rooted in infinite possibility for bringing forth new creativity and inspiration. So my advice is just double check to make sure you aren't fighting against yourself so much in your everyday life, and if you are, take a step back and ask yourself what seems fun to do right now. If you continuosly act on the things that excite you, then you will find that after a while you are full of nothing but inspiration and creativity. And that a beautiful feeling to have sitting in front of your laptop getting ready to make some fire. And you are definitely worthy of this and can achieve it no doubt.
