What a tournament! That match from Mvg and Humphries had drama written all over it and Mvg his an amazing nine darter! Only the second in World Series history and the first ever in the Word Series Finals! Also Peter must be feeling gutted to lose to Aspinall despite a comeback from 6-2 down. But Mvg has won in his home country of and is proving why he still is the man to beat in darts.

Luke humphries is very close to winning a major TV title, will do one day. Nathan ran out of steam in the final, looked tired. MVG is MVG, nothing more to say. Been there, done it and continues to win titles.

What a match between MVG and Humphries, Luke is definitely winning a major title soon coz the games there, he was 1 dart away and gave MVG a superb game and was so so close. MVG is just so good when hes on form and that 9 darter in the semis was absolutely magnificient. I said whoever won that match would win the final and after another tense semi in which Peter Wright looked down and out just like he did against Barney but then mounted another comeback with some clutch double double finishes and had darts to take it to a decider but couldnt take them and Aspinall finished it off. In the final it was just a blowout from MVG, Aspinall couldnt keep up and MVG just ran away with it. What a weekend from Mighty Mike in front of his home crowd. The guy makes darts look so easy.

The D18 end to a 147 9-darter is actually not that creative when you put it into context... although MVG does have a unique 147 finish under his belt already (that being T19-BULL-D20, which, ironically, was also for a 9-darter).

I think Aspinall often has good luck with opponent pairings. Now he succeeded to avoid Van Duijvenbode, Price and Smith and got Noppert, Brown and Wright. He has had easy way to final many times

Brown was very easy opponent in best of 19 match. His ranking is below 90 and he hardly ever win PDC tournaments. And Price... well, you know how great player he is. And Aspinall is one of my favorites, so I didn't want to belittle him. I only noticed how "lucky" he has been.

I think Brown is very good player and he can sometimes beat top players like Price in this tournament, but if Aspinall (or someone other top player) play him in long major quarter-final, I can't ever believe that Brown could win.

Amsterdam is not MvG's home town. Meanwile MvG has to deal with being 'the foreigner' during 99% of matches he plays. Especially in Britain. Yet the typical British booing against MvG never affects him even the slightest. He simply couldn't care less because he is usually way too busy crushing home-town favourites :)

Crowd should stop their booing. If I was Humphries I would have turned around to the crowd and told them personally to shut the hell up. Then complain to the referee and ask them to do the same. If it continued I would have refused to throw a dart. I'd wind them swines up as much as they tried on me. It's bad letting the crowds do this, at one time they would warn them.

Worst camera-work/direction ever in that deciding visit against Luke. And the graphics at the beginning said it was a Quarter-final, and then suddenly switched to the semi-final that it was all along. Apart from that, and the scorer giving the 9-darter to Humphries and not van Gerwen, you could say it was a reasonable production. Darts were cracking but.
