Yeah when I heard “9 headed beast” I was thinking a 9 headed hydra like creature with dragon wings so basically something more lizard like so I’m happy that it’s something I wasn’t expecting like a 9 headed bird creature

We haven’t really gotten many big bird builds like these from LEGO for a while until recently so this is a nice change of pace from the dragons and large mammals, reptiles, etc that we’ve received.

I’m really glad the Ninjago team realized adding a wing flapping feature is only a downside when it comes to flying creatures because it limits posing and takes up space. I hope the Monkie Kid team comes to the same realization soon

Just as a little bit of information, someone at Lego on the Lego KZbin channel accidentally posted part of episode 7 of season 2 of Lego dreamzzz because it’s only 7 minutes and 12 seconds and you can tell it’s not the full thing because it just randomly cuts out without doing the credits

The monster in this set looks like a cockatrice, a giant chicken dragon lol. But with 9 heads! The Nine-Headed Demon minifig is a stand out. The head could maybe be used for an orc. I wonder if the color matches the jaw piece of the Bone Warriors from Ninjago. I'm also happy with the (superior) spongy material on the cape - it's the same one they used for the orc CMF figure, but in green. Lego just can't seem to stick to one material.

This looks really nice. I think the only thing that'd make me enjoy it a little more is seeing the leaf pieces on the smallest heads be orange to tie in with that sort of feather design seen on the other ones, but overall it's really nice. Another thing I would've liked to see is a crescent moon spade for him, since we have that blade piece now as of the last wave or two and that's the weapon that he uses in the original Journey to the West story. That's unfortunately probably a show problem, but it still would've been nice. Definitely one I want to look into getting, though.

Those blades are from Crystallized and they were also recolered in duomolded with trans orange and gold and trans blue and gold for the crystallized vehicles

Love the Set and the idea of a bird build, villain, SWEET! Though the $100 price tab may make that decision for me. The Pagoda for sure will be on my shelf, I may wait to see if this will be on discount at some point. Though MK sets rarely go on sale.

The new "half cloud" piece is so cool but idk why it has been introduced for these sets, I fail to see how it was needed since it's used so little and to such small effect (even though it's not a structural piece that has to stay hidden but a tiling piece). Other than that this wave seems to be lagging behind the techniques and ideas being done in other themes like Ninjago and Dreamzzz which is very sad since at first Monkie Kid was a trailblazer in this department. This might be an exception at least idea wise since it's the first giant bird beast in so many years and it looks very original although not that good

I want to get this set but I will wait for a discount also it does have two vinyl pieces and 10 large sword pieces as well as 18 prints for the eyes so maybe that does explain why it is $100 but IDK

$100 for that little thing is outrageous. Overpriced sets aren't new for Monkie Kid, but it's still annoying. When you compare the size of a minifigure to the size of the beast, the beast is still much bigger obviously, but not that big. Monkie Kid needs to stop with these terrible prices

Do you even buy sets anymore. Seems like all your interests Lego gives you for free. Gotta give you credit for figuring out how to get all your Lego for free. Gold is not a color for weapons, it’s way way too soft of a metal to forge weapons. I hate that Ninjago has all those gold weapons…. You should start pointing that out in your reviews, so maybe we can get weapons that are more realistic.
