I met Trent outside of a venue they played one month after Woodstock. He let my friend and I followed him inside and listen to the sound check. We were only 15 and Trent was still pretty mysterious and reclusive, so it was very surreal.

That second song (Help me I'm in hell) is one of my favorite instrumentals hands down, not just my favorite NIN instrumental. I recommend the studio version for anyone who hasn't heard it as it's more concise. This particular live version didn't do the song justice. What can one say abut "Dead Souls"? It was one of the great Gen X anthems.

A friend from a local high school and then when we were in community college together until we graduated in 2000 & 2003, respectively (we both were doing double majors getting ready for our Bachelor's degree so it took 3 years instead of 2). Anyways we both LOVE this movie & Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas so much that when we were in middle school someone asked us to start keeping track of how many times we had seen it. When we graduated in 2003, I had seen it 1,990 times. Damn Kat had to beat me with 2,043. But I won with NBC. She had 1,225, where I had 1,458.

Almost 30y later & still vividly remember it. Twas a great 4 days! So much more to it all than the 2 big stages that many don't know. Yeah, a lot of overpriced venders, but not all were. Very few issues really & Overall a success! Yet the money grubbers that had to claim to attempt another 5y after that was no surprise a disaster unfortunately tarnished the name & purpose behind it all. Has to have some $ & business going ons, but all about balance & 99 was not hat nor should it be connected to 69 & 94! Hope they just separate them & give the world another fair xhance of a great event as it should be ❣️
