I really believe that this game must be played by as many people as possible. Even if you think this game is too difficult for you, go and play it, there is "Story mode" that allows you to adjust the damage you take and deal. While this game's combat is certainly the main reason to play, go for the plot, if you don't feel like mastering the game's mechanics. There's a good chance you'll love it anyway

Eigong really was the best boss fight i've done this year. Actually made nohitting her feel very fun with the parries, although the difficulty spike really feels harsh at first.

Agreed about the difficulty spike. First few times, I couldn't really inflict that much damage. Got closer bit by bit until I eventually beat her yesterday. She's the culmination of everything you've learned. Truly worthy of being the final boss.

@@mohamedelkayal8871 I don't agree, they tried to copy Isshin from Sekiro really hard here but it simply doesn't work as she has no rhytm whatsoever and none of the bosses before her prepare you for whats to come while everything before Isshin is a tutorial for him, all of the bosses are a complete joke compared to her and then they put 3 phases with 3 FULL HP bars, cmon... The game is great but this boss isn't..

@@svetoslavivanov5858 I think two phases were enough to be honest 😂. I also agree that none of the other bosses prepare you for what is to come. But in terms of rhythm, I think she does have one in the first two phases. I don't know if we mean the same thing but she does have a pattern of some sorts. The third phase was the unpredictable one for me, since it felt like she would mix attacks and had that one that was all over the place.

@@svetoslavivanov5858 lady ethereal was absolutely a test for eigong, but bosses dont have to be a build up necessarily to what's to come. i expect more difficulty with them, but not a follow up necessarily. lady ethereal made me learn to precise as fuck with my actions, which prepared me for eigong, but it didnt prepare me at all for jin besides from ethereal's free projectiles that are harder to get hit by than parry, whereas jin's projectiles were a learning curve on their own. besides, there were plenty of enemies leading up to jin that were projectile intense and some of the minibosses can be argued as a precursor to eigong too. also, she literally does have a rhythm. every attack she does has a rhythm, every lead up to an attack as one. if you don't understand this, then you aren't going to beat her at all and you will think she's bullshit, but she isn't. i fought her so many times without a tutorial to figure out how to beat her, it was so difficult, but i did it because i learned to know exactly what to do

@@svetoslavivanov5858 according to development team, Eigong was the first boss they created, and the rest branched off from her, so idk about not preparing considering her speed and agility are quite noticeable in a few other bosses like ji, lady ethereal and jiequan, while also having multiple aoe projectiles that you need to keep track of, like again, lady ethereal, the fengs, and yen lao

The final boss took me 4 hours to beat but it was one of the most satisfying experiences I've had in a game. It just felt so good to learn the fight and reach the point where I could beat the first two phases without any damage. It felt amazing when I went back to get the other ending and beat the boss in one go.

Great video. It was really helpful seeing your approach to the bosses. My strategies were similar to yours in many ways, but this video did help me find a number of ways to optimize them, especially against Eigong's second and third phases. I favoured a Water Flow/Qi Blade setup for this first playthrough. I'd like to learn to use Full Control more effectively at some point, as it looked insanely powerful the way you were using it. Anyway, thanks for the video. Nine Sols is awesome!

Personally my play style was to equip steely jade and breather/recovery jade, then get so good at parrying that I just ignore my own internal damage, only ever using the pipe after hitting the boss with a 5 qi blast to stun them, but I won’t waste the vial if I can just let my internal damage recover on its own

Wow, this game is cool, awesome graphics stylist like an anime from 80's years. Epic fight, but... Is only me (?) I noticed the Lady Ethereal has the same attack acts from Soul Master, Grim/Grim Nightmare and Radiance from Hollow Knight!?!? (with weird scene, of course) and the last boss attack act like 'inverted' (is a bug?) and simple Juggement Cut from Vergil (DMC V). Some scenes has a lot of grotesque like movie from Akira, if someone know... bruh.

Actually,Shuigui should called The Water Spectre because it's chinese(or Taiwanese) name is "水鬼" that means the spectre lives in water and hunt peoples. Interesting fact:the main character "Yi" correspond to the archer "Yi" in traditional chinese tales who shot nine suns to kept peoples and crops from the heat of suns. I think the Lady Ethereal boss fight is the saddest but longest and also one of the hardest boss fight.

It depends on the game. It could take a few or a few hundreds attempts. Nine Sols wasn't super difficult, though some bosses took a while to beat. I couldn't even beat the final boss at first and died a bunch of times, but after a few hours I managed to beat her hitless.

Am I the only one who prefers Ending 1? The scenario is tragic, but also genuinely feels better-written and more of an emotional payoff, whereas Ending 2 is just sort of... there (apart from the AMAZING credits sequence and song).

He returned to his planet with his solarian survivors, who are still in cryosleep. With no cure discovered yet, the only way to keep the survivors asleep is to continue harvesting apemen brain. We don't know if he's willing to commit that act, but the remaining storage of apemen brains on the ship WON'T LAST and waking up the survivors means risking quick death from the virus. It's essentially a bad ending

The 18th boss is the worst in the first half of the game, stupidly spamming with three attacks, which in themselves are VERY easy to counter, and the whole difficulty lies only in increasing the tempo of these attacks with each phase. This is not a fight of skill, this is a fight of attrition, it's disgusting!
