Hey guys! Thanks for the video. Made things easy. One thing to note. A pair of channel locks with a C bite will make quick work of the bond that the tire has. Way faster than clamps, and you don't need a bench. Will need to be careful of scratches!

Took me a while to figure out there is a slot and a place to put that slot behind the spokes 😂 the rest was easy peasy thanks to your video, a bit of elbow grease to get the tire off and on though 👍💪🏽❤️

This is a great tutorial but may I make a suggestion? Amazon sells the whole tire/wheel/brake assembly brand new for $49. It literally takes 10 mins once you’re done messing w that brake cable. The new tires are usually 30-50 dollars so why not just get all of it new. Brakes are a big plus. Just a suggestion.

I just bought a second hand scooter like the one in the video. The front wheel is a little bit loose, 2-3 mm which actually feels while it's been driven. I want to see what the issue is and if there is any screw that is not thighten up enough. Is there anyone with the same issue? Nothing seems crooked though. Thanks in advance.

it is tedious and difficult when you watch it. As I don’t have most of the items, i took off the tire now and trying to put the new one.. Will update and then give you hope 😂👍

update: as mentioned before, I struggled with putting the tire and the rim. I went to a bike shop and did it in one minute which costs me $12. I then put back everything as in the video. Although I struggled again with the brake which at the first was too loose, I fixed it by adjusting it. I checked the scooter and now it is like new. Thank you for the video and nothing is impossible 👍👍🙏🙏

I see people are boiling tires to make them expand. Thanks Segway for making this almost impossible, the shop i use has a tire rotator. I estimate i spent 15 percent of each riding season waiting for parts or waiting for bike shop to change tire

@@outdoorboys2679 I actually pryed this tire off but getting it to seat on the wheel bead was a CHORE. High PSI is a must. I’d say at LEAST 75 PSI.

They sell tire plugs for tubeless tires... 🤷♂️
@JonathanStrome Жыл бұрын
Yeah very typical of Segway/Ninebot. Those Chinese are now mading it harder to change parts with each new gen of escoots. A tactic to force buy new escoots? That's why I'm consideting to move to the Dualtrons, less replacement hassle, however less reliable than a Segway but at least I don't have to buy a new one when it comes time to change some parts.
@JonathanStrome Жыл бұрын
@@borky1987 You can't really plug those small wheels, you'd be just finishing em off.
@bearingSSW Жыл бұрын
@@borky1987 doesn't make sense of you want inflated tires to adsorb at least some shocks.

My front valve broke, looked up how to fix it. Found 1 min video on how to replace in 10 minutes... Impossible! I managed to do it, but Segway gets a fail for service design. Have to remove stickers to reveal screwes? Fail. Have to remove screwed, just to get to more screws? Fail. I liked riding my scooter, but like anything, it will require maintenance, and for this, its a fail...

@Chris-dw4vy Non-motor front wheel yes. Thats what I'd done last year. However the motor wheel will cost waay more, so imo, it's best to do what I posted previously and save a few headaches.
