Hey there, saw you successfully fixed you Z10 Battery deep sleep problem on another video through the comments. Wondering if you could please help me. So basically I my friend hasn’t used his Z10 in about 1.5years. So I connected the unit normally to the charger and the charger LED was flashing red & green slowly… then turned green in about 10minutes… So I saw the video and did direct connection with extra cable, now the charger light is now red (stable / not flashing) which is good. But the small indicator light around the battery on the Z10 isn’t flashing at all… Any ideas? Do you think it is still charging? Q2, Also how long do you have to charge each battery with the above DIY wire connection before changing back to normal charging port. Thanks a lot! 😊 (also I have disconnect the white cables while I do the DIY wire charge direct.)

@@MADpack Thank you, so I hooked up the white connectors and then it started blinking blue! So now closed everything back up and now charging normally. About 2 bars now. I tried turning it on after disconnecting the charger and nothing.... I am just fixing the battery issue for my friend. Leave it chsrging for 12h. After just download the app and you will be able to see if the batteries are normal

Nice...I've done exactly the same thing to start mine, unfortunately in my case the problem is a bit bigger. I managed to start this bad boy but I had an message error saying battery 2 abnormal communication. Checked the batteries but seems to be fine( probably software related issue). And on top of that in my first day out trying to learn how to use this, I had a puncture. trust me you don't want to have any, is a nightmare to fix a puncture on this. Fixed but I managed to destroy The MOS board. Order new one & to be on the safe side ordered the mother board to...Can you please tell me what software version is on yours???

MADpack hi i did the hack. the charger has turned red immediately (did not blink red and green before going full red). HOWEVER, the battery indicator is not blinking at all (the one that was blinking red when power is too low and will blink red and blue when you start charging with the hack). should i leave the charger to charge with the hack for a longer time ?

MADpack the hack totally worked! i was typing the message when trying the hack for the very first time that day. i asked if the battery indicator hidden inside should be blinking. i didn't want to pull out my mod cable to charge it normally cos i only have one charger, it's too much work trying to secure the bare cable to the charger connector. anyway, you were right, all i needed was maybe 10 mins of charging on each battery, then go back to the normal charging. my z10 battery went dead after leaving it untouched for 6 months (20% battery left after my last use)

Can i just connect the xt60 jack to the charger directly through the black and red cables? cuz right here in australia i havnt found the xt60 heads that come connected to any cables at all, only the jack itself :(

If I could understand you can't find an xt60 cable so you want to connect directly just with a wire between the xt60 female of the battery to the charger is that? If its that you risk more to ruin your ninebot z10. If I could have found a plug to connect to the charger I will have made a full plug but I couldn't. With an xt60 adapter the connection ispre stable

What I was wondering was why you used the white 5mm cables, cuz I only have the male xt60 head and I have to connect it to the red and black cables myself. So I tried to connect the red and black cables straight to the charger but they were too big to fit in. Now i have followed every single step you did in the video and it's charging!!!!! Thank you man you saved not only my money to ship it back to China but also my time haggling with the reseller. He was super reluctant to help, giving me excuse like factory having breaks during Chinese New year and wouldn't help me ask the factory how to solve this issue, and he got me held up for like two months and still persists on letting me ship the whole thing back for repairs.

Can you help me with my problem? I can not charge my Ninebot Z10 directly anymore. I didn’t use it for quite a long time. Most likely, the device's battery automatically went into a deep sleep state in order to prevent discharge due to prolonged downtime. Fortunately, the battery can be quite easily reactivated. I opened everything and did the battery activation again. I temporarily disconnected the battery from the gadget‘s motherboard, recharged it, and then reconnected after the required voltage had been reached. This disabled the lock and restarted the device. I had my ride and everything was fine. But now everytime I want to recharge my Ninebot I have to repeat the same process, because charging troughs the standard way doesn’t work.

I would say there is a fair chance you will get it back to working with these steps. I received one (given away to me) and the packs were down to almost 2v (yes, that's 2 VOLTS) but since the batteries in these are very high quality, it came back to life & charges properly, runs absolutely fine.

It did take 46 days to arrives and i was concerned that the battery would of drained over that time in transit but it had a good amount of charge in when i unboxed.. Hey @madpack Markus! Thanks for your video! I think I have a similar problem with my Z10. So i bought it second hand last year with 110km . Then I did a few km last year and then I put it in my shed for a year (cold winter down to -1C). Took it out a few days ago went out battery still had 15km in. Went out and when I still had 8km on the app it started complaining that battery is low. I will had battery to push home. Charged it to 100% next morning took it to work. Arrived with no problems. 13h later after a hard shift i found it with lights on but not working. Pushing the power button didn't do anything. The battery icon next to it shows as empty battery and the Bluetooth blinking. When I try to connect to the app it stabilizes but never connects on the app. Also the led lights underneath are on blue and red for many minutes and then turn off for many minutes then back on. This goes on for 3 days now. I have put it on power show that battery is charging and the led on the charger is red when I do that. Tried long hold of the power button over 5' and nothing. Just lights on, LEDs on but no other response. Do you have any ideas as to what is the problem or how I could fix it? Please keep in mind I'm a noob in this but keen to open it up if need be. Any ideas welcome as I'm a bit desperate.

Right, so I looked into it and I am pretty sure that is to do with the fact that it isn't connected to the app via bluetooth and I am having issues with that. I get asked for a pin that isn't provided to me so I don't know what to do... I've tried powering the wheel on and off and so on with the bluetooth on my phone but still not connected... I think once I connect it it will let me ride it with no problems

My brand new Z10 is stuck in “Limited Mode” or activation mode. It fails to activate every time I try. Software V1.0.5. My unit has power and turns on but doesn’t balance/have an active motor. Has anyone else heard of this issue?

​@@MADpack FYI yes, there's a way to reset password. Lay down and hold the power button after two beeps for 17 flashes of led lights, then release it... the password will be reseted.

Also to note - REGEN braking on this only charges one of the batteries .... not good at all!

It makes sense if you think that the other one is a safety battery. If you run out of battery the slave battery will turn on to avoid that the segway turns off immediately.

@@MADpack So the other battery is completely redundant and not used unless the first dies? I have seen a video of some one riding up a large hill and getting down to 50% then riding down still showed 50% - when he got home and check one battery was at 80% the other still sat at 50%?

Bro one of the batteries is just a slave one.. Is the emergency one.. So you are not draining that battery down when you are riding so i think that is normal. That one is there of you lose the energy in the other one.
