RyderRyan here!
So the continuation of the journey to our local metroplex bike meet at cyclegear. However, it starts to get good or a moment bike is running and I think Jesus has made me the chosen one's of the 250's. I was wrong...check it out and see the rise and fall of Ultranoob!

Your gas cap is not venting correctly. Causing vapor lock and preventing gas get to the carburators. Take the diaphrams out of the cap there are 2 red ones, that should solve it.

I ride a jetted 07 ninja 250 and the same thing happened to me once but really it was my own mistake I thought I had more fuel than I actually did, it bogged down and acted just like in this video, I switched to reserve and, luckily I had enough gas to get me to where I needed to be.

did you check oil levels also most times when that happens it when the viscosity of the oil becomes to thin to create a proper seal for your pistons so therefore loss of power and eventually just stops running.

Robert, Thank you so much for the questions and feedback, I truly appreciate it! I ended up having to get the carbs cleaned and do a full on tuneup. Unfortunately the dealer I bought it from did not actually perform the maintenance as they claimed. So my advice to anyone buying a used bike even from a dealer. Make them show the log in their database that the job was done otherwise make sure they do it upon agreement before taking the keys. If you see anyone else asking questions, please feel free to chime in with your insight, I know it'll be appreciated around here :)

Jesus. My 09 250 running lean didn't over heat after I was pulling 100 mph at wide open throttle for a solid 20 mins. It was almost 100° out too. Temp or oil light didn't even come on.

I'm not sure about the pre 08 250s but the 09s supposedly run lean, that could be where the over heating comes from. I plan to do a re-jet on mine soon. I'm chopping the factory exhaust right now, hopefully it will smooth out some throttle issues and sound more like a bike and not a lawn mower smothered with a pillow.

I was going from South Arlington to Louisville, so about 36 miles/57 kilometers to be close to the mark. I can definitely say it was interesting for sure and had me quite concerned. I'll post the next video later during the week my friend, it kinda comes around to a good evening in the end. In the coming episodes y'all will be in for a treat for sure!

Thank you Tony! That sounds awesome my friend, I'd say spend extra cash on quality gear and it will keep you safe for sure. Timing is very important, but with a 250 it is quite forgiving. Check out your local classes and find one that has the best ratings and most time out on the pavement for practice. I promise you it will make the difference having a 3 day series on pavement over a two day rushed. Also you can find a greatly priced 250 online and local shops, but make sure it is checked out so you don't have a Ryan moment. Let me know how the classes go, I'd love to hear about it!

RyderRyan8787 Hey man just did my first lesson! Was amazing! Completely in love, takes awhile to get used to everything but ohh my gosh ahhhh the freedom is a natural high! I’ve found the best trainer out there took me out on the roads well side streets but I’m booking 1 hour 30 min lessons so I can feel confident down the track I’m learning on a 125cc at the moment trainer said it’s easier lighter and stuff I’m only 5,4 but I’m able to tippy toe my foot hehe I’m gunna get my license no matter what! Ride safe man!

Tony Mann Congratulations on your first lesson! I'm super happy to hear you had a blast and had a positive experience with it! You couldn't be more right brother! The rush you feel with the wind against you and the control you have over your body and the vehicle between your legs. True freedom indeed! Hey 125cc is a great way to start then you can move on up to the 250 or 300 series in due time. I would highly recommend getting some good steel toe boots that also cover your ankle. More a hightop design to ensure protection to your feet. Not only that, but you should get another inch or so giving extra grip and less tippy toeing while stationary. I'm 5'6 and with boots 5"8 so trust me I'm not that tall either, but with the right boots and gear we can manage! Proud of you my friend for taking such a bold step into the world of motorcycles. It's very dangerous and rewarding, but if you remain vigilant, I know it will be smooth sailing for you. Keep up the good work and I'd love to hear when you get your license! I believe in you Tony! Sincerely, RyderRyan :)

RyderRyan8787 Just did my 2nd lesson slowly getting better HA, :) more hours the better you are But thankyou for that tip I think I’m gunna get a pair of boots I’ve booked my test for May 21st :p But 100% gunna get some boots before hand just so I feel like I have more control :) you gotta start making some vlogs man you’re awesome to watch!

Tony Mann I am super happy to hear the second class went well! That totally rocks! Like I said a pair of boots can save your feet in the event of a tumble or anything such as a hard rock going 70. Versus a pair of chucks you might end up with a broken foot. Keep it up! I’ll have more videos and will have part 2 out on the bike delivery video. I have way more content, I just need to make some time and give y’all some extra videos. They are coming and will try and get that part 2 video out. Also might do more raw unedited versions besides the tag of my name. Y’all pm me often requesting that and it’s more of a journey that way. Tony good things take time and I’m proud that you are wanting more time training :)

hi ryan tonight my bike just died at 80 mph and left me stranded at 3 am the bike push started fine but wouldn't go about 40 mph, it died later down the road.i was wondering if you have found a fix for this problem
@RyderRyan8787
@RyderRyan8787 6 жыл бұрын
UnderAgeMoto, I'm so sorry to hear you have experienced what I have many times with my bike. I would suggest performing a maintenance overhaul. Change the oil and the radiator fluid, along with swapping the air filter and spraying some filter cleaner in there. But most important , please make sure you carburetor isn't clogged. All these little things from overheating or air starvation or inconsistent combustion can lead to performance degradation and or hardware failure. Being a 250 owner is with a little work, due to these little extra tweaks and tlc you have to give the bike vs a modern fuel injected bike. It's maintenance pattern allows you to be a little more rough for a longer duration of time. But if you go and rack up a couple hundred miles, once you've done that take some time check fluids maybe even put a little seafoam in the tank to help clear the fuel lines before you add your next set of fuel. Clogging is your enemy with fuel, air and carbs. Try maybe cleaning the air-box and replace the filter and spray just a little b12 into the air box to help clear out any gunk. You can try removing the seat and filter and leave it running and lightly spray a small amount of b12 into the air box to help it clear any clog. It'll idle lower and nearly die for a second, but will prove to have results if there was clogs. A 1/4 of a can of seafoam into your tank before the next fill up can help break away carbon buildup as well. If spark plugs never been changed you might want to consider swapping out. These little tips can make all the difference and I'd try one by one. Think of a Ninja 250 as a pc that is having hardware issues. Blue screen you think ram and then you come to find out it was a registry issue, which caused dll errors to appear and eventually from OS corruption cause the dump. Sometimes swapping that stick of ram in necessary or an OS Reload. Once you fix the issue it runs great and you are back to gaming. I really want to know what methods you try and your success, please keep me in the loop. I know all the other riders here should be more than happy to also assist with suggestions. We are all brothers who have all experienced our share of 250 problems in our time of riding. Thank you for reaching out and look forward to hearing from you. ~Ryder

Your Motor Oil was probably too lightweight for the heat generated at 90 MPH. A 20-50 might keep that from happening in the future-BUT: 90 on a 250 is not the smartest thing to be doing....

I ride my 07 ninja 250 on the freeway pretty regularly, it cruises at 70mph in 6th and still pulls all the way to 100mph so no problem passing other vehicles. It's just a light bike so you do notice cross winds a bit more.
