This is a great recipe! Very forgiving. I used frozen meatballs instead of ground beef, water instead of stock, and lots of onions and mushrooms. This is practically done by the time the pot of water would come to a boil! All in the Foodi! No stockpot, no colander! 😁

John, this was, by far, the BEST, BEST, BEST spaghetti and meat sauce that I've ever eaten! I've cooked this same thing on the stovetop over 200 times during the last 20 years, and it has never tasted this good! I only did a couple of things differently from you. First of all, I seasoned. Here in Louisiana, we like our spice. I added: salt, black pepper, red pepper flakes, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Also, I omitted the mushrooms. I don't understand why people are so crazy about mushrooms? Raw mushrooms taste like dirt, and cooked mushrooms are no different than eating an unrolled condom! I thought and thought and couldn't figure out last night, why this tasted so much better than my homemade? The only thing different is the Ninja Foodi. I guess that the high pressure really infuses the seasoning into the meat and pasta. I will never cook spaghetti and meat sauce on the stovetop again! Thanks a million for introducing me to the Ninja Foodi world. I love every one of your videos!

Had to alter this as to what I had at the moment.... 1lb of ziti noodles 2.5 cups of veg broth 1 24oz jar of sauce. Pressure cooked on high for 6 mins. Looked like there was too much liquid at first but within a couple mins of standing, most of the water absorbed. Added 1 bag of grated cheese and meatballs and stirred. Came out perfect! This method would do well with a pasta/alfredo sauce in a jar/chicken/ and vegetables dish done in the same manner.

Hey John, I tried the spaghetti your way. The wife did not like it. I told you she is hard to please. I thought it was Ok. Often times I have ordered spaghetti when we go out. From expensive places to crap in a box you get at the grocery store. Did not care for it, this is way better. You are right the next day even better, Much better. Making spaghetti with out meatballs is a crime around here. So while I had all this cooking up, I made up some quarter sized meatballs. Once everything was done I just added them to the spaghetti. That did help to thicken up the mix. Since I am home alone tonight I am making spaghetti. Good recipes !

❤😅 hello John I followed your recipe, I substituted neckbones in place of the meat. What used to take me five and six hours to cook, I could not believe that all of this was done in the six minutes you said. I truthfully hhad my doubts, how could it be? But when I opened the pressure cooker lid and saw what I saw and tasted what I tasted it was fantastic. Your recipe will make me make neckbones a lot more than what I did maybe once a year. It will be a lot more often. By the way I enjoy all your other videos you have just to let you know. It was nice that I finally saw your lovely wife baby doll best of luck to you both.! @@JohnSanders Well John, I made your Spaghetti dinner receipt tonight and it came out really good. Everyone liked it...but have very little leftovers. This will be my goto way of making Spaghetti in the future. What I liked about it besides the taste is how fast you can cook and have it on the table! All that I did different than you was that I use 2 pounds of hamburger, added some salt and pepper, just a bit over 2 and a half of chicken broth, and use a 8 oz pack of mushrooms and still was great! I got to thinking of how I want to try this Spaghetti the next time I make it....what I want to change is to use 2 or 3 packs of those Italian Sausage Links...maybe the mild ones. Cut them up to some bite size pieces, brown them up with some garlic and Italian seasoning. I'll make some in a week or two and let you know delicious it will be. About a month ago I bought the 8 qt Ninja Foodi and have been experimenting around with it. I'll be trying more of your receipts as time goes by.

Wow Sierra...That air fried cheese tip is a good one, I'll be trying that the next time I cook spaghetti...thanks, and, I have tried the pot size but I can't always find it and seems to sit on the shelf a little longer...not that that means a lot, but yes it works well and would eliminate the breaking in half step that is not as easy as you might think and can also lead to a mess of your not careful...LOL, but, thanks very much for watching and sharing your tips!!!

Enjoy your videos very much, ? What size glass lid fits 6.5 qt foodi...i was thinking 10 inch
@JohnSanders5 жыл бұрын
Thank you and the one I am using is actually 10" outside diameter with an inside lip of 9 1/4"... I think it would accept an inside lip diameter of up to 9.5" which might work a little better but nothing wrong with this one...thank you for watching!!

Hi! Loved your recipe for spaghetti in the Foodi. I am not certain how to reheat. You mentioned a "reheat" on the Foodi and ours doesn't have one. Can we use Keep Warm? We are having company for dinner tonight and want to do it right. Thanks for your informative videos.
@JohnSanders5 жыл бұрын
Sorry for not responding earlier but yes, that is actually what I meant but if your company is coming soon and you have not started already you could carefully use the saute/sear function...BUT...don't walk away, stir a good bit and only keep on for a short period of time and then switch to keep warm function...Thank you for trying my recipe and I hope all is well...Jelly

@@JohnSanders We actually put the vessel (?) on the the keep warm setting and it did very well. That pound o' pixie stix fed us for three days plus our friend. They all took seconds, which I could not do. I do wish I had thought to buy a bit of parmesan cheese to shave over it. Thanks, again. We are subscribed! Happy cooking from Judy and Steve in Baltimore 🐩🐾🐾🐩🐾🐾 and Coco and Eli

John.....I'm a bit confused on the reheating. Does it take 2 hours for it to reheat, or had it just been sitting there for 2 hours after it got reheated? 2 hours seems like a long time to have to wait for already cooked food to me. Could I talk you into doing a chicken spaghetti recipe in the Foodi some time please?
@JohnSanders4 жыл бұрын
I think it had just been sitting there... it doesn't take very long to reheat... i might give that chicken spaghetti a try sometime... it sounds good...thanks for watching!!!
