Excellent demo. I've just ordered this oven and concerned it won't bake well on 2 racks at same time. You proved it does fine with cookies, and with cakes it takes a few more minutes on the lower rack. This helped me so so so much. Thx!!!

Lisa, they look great, mom gave me a little trick and that’s instead of setting the time, let the cookies tell you when there done. How you do that is when the very bottom edges of the cookie just start to turn brown, 99% of the time there done. I also use parchment paper to line bottom of my trays . Being a man we always look for a faster way to clean up, and parchment paper does the trick. Finally I make mine about 3/4 the size of yours, I like to say bite size, that way you can dunk the whole cookie. When I do chocolate chip cookies I usually do 2 batches. Just thought I’d share, and like you I use the traditional recipe on the back of the package. Every time I bake cookies, especially toll house cookies I think of her, and the wonderful Christmases we had as a family. If I don’t talk to you before Christmas, may you and your family have a Merry Christmas and a Happy and safe New Years..

Thank you for the tip-will try it when I make spritz cookies. lol about cleanup. When I make. the sprite cookies. I will think of my mom-I swear she made hundreds not thousands of these around Christmas time. Merry Christmas Kerry!

Crispy for me and soft for you. Parchment paper or Silpat for ease of cleanup. I'm thinking cheesecake in the Foodi for New Years. I haven't made one in ages.

the cookies baked at 175 degrees Celsius look great. both look good. but I also prefer 175 degrees Celsius. greetings and have a nice Sunday. Gea.

175C good baking temp. Thanks Gea!
@jesebsp3 жыл бұрын
the oven is true convection so the temp needs to be 25 degrees less than recipe, may need a a little more time. the air is constantly moving for even heat. dark pan requires less heat as well. i agree on the vanilla, i always add a little more.

I'm making cookies for Xmas. Nice display how the oven cooks and your cookies made me want one. Your mom will be pleased : ). I have a few 1/4 sheet pans and will use parchment on them always do whenever possible. Darker pans should speed up the cooking. The Dark pan you used was very interesting, because it's so thick. Thanks for showing how it baked the cookies. I like my cookies just done and light, soft, chewy. My Breville countertop used to do a great job on cookies one rack one tray load. I'm a bit disappointed, the xloven doesn't seem to cook as even as I would like with two shelves in..but then my big wall oven does the same thing on convection too.

I forgot I always chill my cookie dough for a little bit so I get nice tall cookies and never use all butter I combine a little shortening in place, just makes a better chewier cookie. I use 'spartan' health food brand shortening and it works just like crisco. here I go again TMifo :)) you know what that means :))
@sylviah12344 жыл бұрын
That was meant to read 'Spectrum' brand, organic all vegetable shortening.
@pressurecrisp4 жыл бұрын
Yes letting the cookie dough sit in frig overnight made for a better baked cookie. Next time. I. go. to the Food coop-I'll pick some of the spectrum shortening up-thanks!

Lol 😂! It must be the New Yorker in you bc I act silly all the time too. I just made cookies in my oven today in the XL oven and my regular oven. I did the XL on my Sunday dinner show. I was trying to figure out the temperature too🧐. Great video Lisa! 😋

Must be. lol-350F is definitely the way to go. and to be honest I made cookies. the next day-dough. sat in frig overnight-cookies baked up even better. What kind of cookies did you make? Thanks Stephanie!

350.....As soon as I heard the crunch of the 375 I knew 350 was the way to go. I too prefer the softer, chewy cookie. Have you ever used an oven thermometer to test the ovens temperature? Might be interesting.

I just brought it too and tested out on a two thick turkey legs for whole roast setting. However, it was not cooking evenly inside. I kept increasing the time so now it is slightly burnt on the outside. sigh....can you share videos cooking meat with this thing.

So just like me you like to eat the doe as well do you LOL I suppose you think it tastes dolitiouse LOL! I used to do that as well and got my hands slapped by my mother and grandmother so it was a painful but very tasty experience LOL. I would love to cook stuff like those cookies Lisa but I still can't buy the oven over here just been to Amazon, and Ninja but there is no mention of it on their websites so as you Americans would say that sucks!!!
