Nah that only works on certain characters and even then on hard difficulty they block the flying swallow even the leveled up version and it leaves you negative frames after.

even the game understands how broken the izuna drop is, there's a reason why every weapon can do it, or a do a version of it, as well as have multiple ways to get you and the enemy in the air to do it. My favorite way is to *rotate slightly charge YXXXY* it's way more effective on those dodge happy claw ninjas.

I'm not even talking about just Dark Souls, but the many challenging games that came out following the wave it started, specially in the indie scene. Hyper Light Drifter, Bleak Sword, Hollow Knight or Slave Zero X (this one's brutal) are just a few examples. Also, this game came out on 2008 originally. I remember that era perfectly and it wasn't particularly briming with difficult action games, unlike the last ten or seven years

I think the guy is wrong, on Path of the Mentor I routinely fight 10+ enemies on screen. The stairway fight and final sections don't have as many enemies as they had during the original 360 release but it's definitely more than 5 to 6 enemies

I use to play Ninja Gaiden 2 Sigma long back in a video game parlor. Looking at this video I realize (either before or now) that you must master perfectly and rely on all the combo techniques, weapons, ninpos, and everything else that are equally important to face against any powerful enemies. Plus you must plan and strategies; improvise, adapt, and overcome to defeat them.

@@rdpruett88 Fast paced action, aggressive OP enemies who attack you in groups, no stamina bars, air combos, no way to farm exp to make you strong and kill easy a boss, just your skill and reaction time to survive and succeed, Ninja Gaiden is definetly the oppsite of what action games have become thanks to Fromsoft. I definetly need this kind of game to come back, but is funny see streamers who finished games like Dark Souls or Elden Ring struggling with Ninja Gaiden and totally unwilling to learn the game, just doing what they learned to do with Souls like games, "dodge, dodge, poke, poke, dodge, dodge, poke, poke"

This is like saying you wish DMC5 played like Baldur's Gate lol And while we're at it, Ninja Gaiden 2 came out before even Demon's Souls.

You missed the tip - there is a difference between regular jumproll and jump towards enemy (press ligh attack + jump at the same time), ruy has blue particles and you are jumping straight towards enemy instead of rangom direction.

4:04 This is incorrect. Lvl 1 lunar staff can do the izuna drop, it’s just that the inputs are different. Upgrading to lvl 2 just gives you an additional button input option.

the important things about the guillotine throw are that it is massively invulnerable and it delimbs enemies, which gives you access to an invulnerable execution animation, which you can then use to quick charge an ultimate attack for a 3rd invulnerable animation. the point is that in the hardest difficulty you are able to chain together invulnerable animations to avoid dying to the MASSIVE explosive kunai spam that the spider ninjas do. that being said, i've never played sigma 2 so i honestly don't know if there are even enough enemies on screen to require this technique abuse. it's a real shame they falsely advertised this as black when its just sigma with the blood added back.

Y'all forgot the part of how to see your move list to begin with. A lot of players don't even know how to do that cuz the game doesn't tell u, you have to press Y/triangle on the menu when selecting a weapon. Another important tip is changing the camera behavior on the settings so it only moves when u want with the right stick

Well it's hard to land you need a lot of practice, most players don't even counter attack they just block and evade until an opening comes, however they key is to press the buttons right as they're about to hit like when the weapons clash is when you press, kinda like metal gear rising but less rewarding

The old system was brilliant, I don’t know why it was changed to this ridiculous new system where you have to be holding block and then press Square when they attack. It’s dumb. It’s actually less fluid than the old system. They need to patch the controls so I can go back to Ninja Gaiden’s original control scheme.

I loved these games growing up, but if I'm being honest replaying this remaster, I'm really not enjoying it as much. Combat feels clunky, dodging and jumping feel like they often don't input properly which can cost you a run, and the camera is still just as god awful as I remember.

Just finished it on master ninja and i gotta say, This game aged poorly, despite being fun. The difficult is artificial, The bosses are objectively poorly designed, the camera movement sucks and the games feels unfinished. Literally the only good think about this game is the combat.

@@Holynoelle the only good thing about the action game is its combat. Is that not the point? I wouldn’t want any forced walking sections. And more platforming than what the game already has would get annoying. I would also say only about half the bosses are poorly designed. Mainly the big giant monsters but the rest just force you to play more patiently. I’ve been playing games and watching reviews my whole life and literally every action game has camera issues. It comes with the territory, but in NG2 the camera recenter buttons solves a lot of issues since it focuses on nearby enemies. I don’t know what about the game feels unfinished though. 8 different weapons that each have uniqueness, many different enemy types. Cool linear levels that always have you in a different location. There’s a tiny bit of level reusages and you have to fight some bosses more than once, but for the time this game was the farthest from unfinished so that statement seems a bit crazy.
