I've been on ninja Kwaks since 86, sadly I'm too old and financially limited for this one but I'll be riding kwackers till I'm physically unable to get my leg over the seat, the good times have rolled for me 34 years now.
@tvdinner3253 жыл бұрын
Right behind you. 1st new Kwacker was a KV75, rode the triples on the street through the 70s. Ran a ZX1100 at Bonneville in '95. Love my 2012 ZX14R, but need to slow it down, to a 900RS? My second bike is a Triumph.
@justdad535 жыл бұрын
As a four time competitor at Bonneville there are comments below that are not entirely correct. Bikes running in production class can only be modified for safety items such as removing mirrors, tail lights, blinkers. The chain guards have to be bigger and stronger, have to have safety lanyard, safety wiring, and steering stabilizer. Only one set of pegs can be used, tires have to be rated for the record you are competing in. Look closely you will see it still has the license plate holder, it is a production bike. Speeds are adversely affected by the density of altitude which is usually between 4000 and 6800 feet above sea level which results in losing between 12 and 20% of the horsepower the same bike would have a sea level. The traction can be 10 to 15% less than you have on pavement. Comparing speeds on pavement and sea level to this run at Bonneville is apples and oranges comparison. The actual speeds are timed over a measured mile, the speed given is what you averaged over the mile not the fastest speed the bike actually hit. This means you are running wide open for 3 to 4 miles...about a minute and a half. Holding it open that long is physically very tiring and sometimes mentally tuff especially when the wind can move you two to three feet all at once. My main point is that is a lot harder than you think.
@truthseeker25875 жыл бұрын
Jerry Adams thanks for your genuine time and input. This has enlightened me.
@riccardozamprogno58245 жыл бұрын
That's correct but being the bike not naturally aspirated, the power loss is not as high as you pointed out. Ari drag is also lower due to air density so it's pretty safe to say that the main problem in Bonneville for this bike is traction

I'm late on this reply but by the term "wheel spinning" he meant that the bead of the tyre was loose and the wheel itself is spinning but the tyre is not, it's hard to explain but it is a thing, it's prominent on 4x4 crawlers that's why they have custom rims og mags that have lock nuts to lock the bead in so it does not wheel spin while climbing or going over obstacles

I’m 52 years old and I’ve been a junkie speed freak all my life , not having a lots of money means that my easiest way to satisfied my thirst was motorcycle and I’ve had a lots of themes mainly Kawasaki in your life’s you tends to be satisfied with some brands and become kinda loyal to themes Kawasaki was mine, and even after many accidents and serious injuries, today i still owned a ZX-14R 2013 with full pipe all tuned engine,ECU reflash that takes off the speed limiter that the company installed to please the government, and when I hold it pine down It went to 342 km/h, ( I’m in Canada ) But what’s even more impressive is how it gets there the acceleration of that thing is astonishing and how torquing is the motor it’s unbelievable mine have 210 hp and 126 pounds of torques The redlines is at 11,000 rpm but when your on the highway at 100 km/h in 6 gears the engine is sleeping at 3300 rpm and if you want to pass a car you don’t even have to downshift a gear just roll the throttle and away we go it’s like the car is almost stoping there so it’s really impressive power and compared to the H2R in the video it’s a pussy because a stock H2R have 320 HP and weight less than mine that’s is a stock one and the one in this is not stock so riding this machine must feel like making love to a goddess 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍👍 Most people’s must laugh at my comments but thoses speed Addict out there totally gets it for sure 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 Whoaaaaaa fuck that I wrote that comment before watching the video it’s not even a H2R it’s a ordinary H2 that’s the stock model for the street who as just 200 HP this thing shouldn’t even pass mine 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 in stock form that is but this one probably wasn’t But having been to salt lakes once I got to say to race there you got to be completely crazy , and I’ve been call crazy many times in my life’s but I will never be crazy enough to try there it’s like snow well ....as slippery as snow, when I arrive there I was like hypnotized and amazed but when I apply the brakes I almost fell down because it’s so slippery so get off the bike and bend down and with just my hand like caressing the grounds I was able to make like a snow ball it was solid and if I throw it to you probably knock you down except it was salt instead of snow so it doesn’t melted . I find it way less scarier to go like a madd man in traffic between cars then to have a ride on this with the perfect clear lane on this salt to think to go 200 mph on this slippery surfaces you really got to be crazy
