@@albertwesker4729 the first pic in the sack he pointed out is the exact shape of a tcri canister and i think the ooze in this film will be this blue color instead of the neon green we are used to. or maybe it is an anti-ooze of some sort. with super fly becoming a huge monster at the end i dont think he needs a super weapon but an anit-ooze would be a way to defeat him.

As much as I agree that I would like to avoid a woke movie, the original April was actually black until later on. The TMNT universe is a huge universe with tons of dimensions and stuff. The point is that they’re all different. If you’re talking about her weight, look at where her legs connect to her hips. She’s not fat, she physically has a larger bone structure. She may be out of shape, but so are a good portion of the teenagers nowadays. I’m not saying being out of shape is good, but it is (unfortunately) very common. Anyway, I’m basically saying that every TMNT iteration is vastly different and every creator has their own visions and ideas. You need to give them some leeway, I’m sure that if alternate dimensions were real (I don’t believe they are) there would be a dimension where every one of us was larger or darker skinned. (Also, completely unrelated, who’s to say that every April they meet is the same April? April isn’t an extremely uncommon name, maybe they’re different people?) Sorry about that last sentence, it’s not important, just a theory. Anyway, have a good day!

Just going to state my opinion and probably gonna get some flack for it, but changing april to be black just doesn't seem like a good sign going into this movie. I really just don't see the reason for this, it's following the trend of changing ginger characters in superhero movies into black people, now there's almost no red heads in superhero media anymore. Tmnt has always been pretty diverse anyways. Shredder is Japanese, Baxter stockman is black, and so was bebop as a human, and April as a ginger. Most of the other characters are mutants. Not even to mention they just for no reason made her fat, Hollywood just hates fit white people. It just is not April. It draws no inspiration from past versions of April at all besides her yellow jacket. If they were gonna make her black they could have given her a Jackie Brown look or something similar.

If you want to go to the very beginning, Laird wanted April to be of Japanese descent, Eastman saw her as mixed, like his girlfriend. Playmates Toys as sponsors of the first cartoon, made her the buxom, red head, TV news reporter ... because they thought she would sell as a toy better. Eastman and Laird needed the infusion of money, little knowing of what was coming their way down the road. So, April morphed into a red headed white woman ... researcher/computer whiz/journalist. There was a stretch in the comics where Eastman and Laird had guest artists expanding on turtle lore and deviating from the pre-conceived notions of what TMNT was ... the creators gave the guest artists absolute freedom to interpret. We have seen good, we've seen bad, we have seen absolutely dreadful, in the decades since Eastman drew a rudimentary Michelangeo (or Michaelangelo, as it was first spelled), in TV, film, comics, even fan made, and there has always been some creative leeway. So, if the actual creators are good with their characters being reimagined, we need to let go of our own biases. Hair color, skin color, weight ... these are just trifling complaints that have no merit on the final product. There is a lot of buzz and excitement regarding Mutant Mayhem, looking forward to it's release, and hopeful it matches the hype. Now, my only real complaint are the initialed belts ...

This will be an overly silly and annoying movie, and I already hate it.. And it's a shame you need to cover things like this on your channel. But that is just the way the cookie crumbles.. Visually the movie looks great. but fat black april for no reason, that can easily find the turtles when they are hiding, because the turtles are dumb idiots in this movie, and she will solve all their problems because she is a woman. They have annoying voices, and I'm sure this will be one of those movies where there's a joke every 30 seconds, and no serious moments. I'm sorry, I'm super negative I know... But it's the way movies are made today. There's no passion, and they are made for the wrong audiences. I watched the 1990 movie a few weeks back, with my whole family (wife and kids 10, and 12). And they loved it, even my wife who has no interest in movies like that. It's such a fantastic movie, with action, humor, seriousness and a lot of heart. One of my favorite movies.. And that is why seeing this hurts deep in my heart

Their last name is Hamato. Splinter is Hamato Yoshi. It's in the comics and Rise got it right. The Hamato Clan... The Bay movie did that same gag, but I always thought it was stupid cause we know its Hamato. I had higher hopes for this version. The turtles would know their own names.
