This is crazy. I didn't expecting Rise Turtles skin in Shredder Revenge. I love they add that. I also love the mechanic where you can play as Shredder, Bebop, and Rocksteady. Rise also will be added to TMNT : the ultimate visual history : revised and expanded edition? That's awesome.

Rise Of The TMNT skins in Shredder’s Revenge is certainly a surprise. I noticed they included alt skins based on the other cartoon, game and movie versions, and a lot of the backgrounds and characters were based on the Archie comics, since the game was supposed to be a throwback to the 80s Ninja Turtles. But to see Rise Of The TMNT being represented in this game is definitely a surprise, and I’m all for it. It’s the closest we’ll get to an actual Rise Of The TMNT video game.

I recently decided to give Rise a chance because the trailer for the movie looks cool. I'm about 10 episodes in, and I just have to say.. yeah my early concerns and issues with the show have all been confirmed. This really is not my interpretation of the TMNT at all. If you are a fan of Rise that's great, but for me its my least favorite version of the Turtles since The Next Mutation. I understand they wanted to try something different, but the characterizations are all wrong, the humor and dialogue feels forced and often cringe, the voice acting leaves a lot to be desired, for example Ben Schwartz plays Leo practically the same way he plays Sonic, and Splinter is just an awful lazy piece of crap, even though its kind of funny he calls them by their colors instead of names. Sorry to be so negative. I will finish the series and I do admit it's somewhat growing on me. Either because it's getting better or I'm just adjusting to what the show is. The animation while great and fluid is so frantic, that while it looks cool I just feel it lacks direction. It's less focused on martial arts and more on just crazyness, plus the Turtles usually get clowned on in fights, rely too heavily on mystic powers, and they openly admit to never training, although that's starting to change throughout the series. I just wish there was more emotional connection to the characters that let us actually get an idea of what they are going through and struggling with internally, but then again it's just not that type of show. I think the 2012 series did a great job at that. Anyway just thought I'd share my thoughts since I've finally started watching this show and saw their models would be added to Shredder's Revenge.

it definitely takes some getting used to. rise didnt really click with me until about halfway into the first season but when it runs it REALLY runs. its more episodic at first but i think it matches tmnt 87 really well in that. when it REALLY starts to get the ball rolling though everything starts to make a lot more sense. the first 10 or so episodes are also some of the weakest, even after rewatching the series. i still enjoy them, but they dont leave the greatest first impression. youll start to see more resemblance to other tmnt incarnations as time goes on, but right now its better to keep an open mind about the show and treat it as a show with a fresh start rather than one trying to pick up where 2012 left off.

@@notmephisto1375 i was a major 2012 fan growing up and even if i didnt HATE rise when it first aired, it didnt click with me at first. i decided to take the plunge and watch the whole show just before it ended and was shocked by how much i ended up loving it. got me back full time into tmnt and made me want to check out the greater franchise rise is certainly a very different tmnt show but its also one made out of love and attention to detail to its predecessors, both in its style and its writing. cant say for certain of course that its for EVERYONE, but theres definitely some classic tmnt dna in there

Honestly they do have splinter some background on his character and it’s really quite showed & re-contextualized his behavior in the early episodes in typical tragic tmnt fashion, it’s very much has 87 vibes but in pretty unique ways.

Only as skins, but that’s still really cool. Honestly, with the powers/weapons of the RotTMNT turtles, they could really be their own characters. They do revert back to the classic weapons during their Shredder arc so the skins are still somewhat accurate.

I will fully concede that the Rise designs are very good from a graphic design perspective, especially for that style of animation. Despite this I still find them lacking appeal as Ninja Turtles, especially as toys. The Mutant Mayhem designs were a nice compromise, but I still find the more natuallistic designs of the originals the most charming.

Looks like these skin mods failed to do the 1 thing the comic pallette did 30 years ago for Turtles in Time SNES, have ACTUAL DIFFERENT SKIN TONES! Come on! Half the point is making the characters easier to distinguish in multiplayer!!! The fan-made patch released right after launch even did this!

Please no, Rise was a very far off spin off of TMNT. Not to mention they do not even use the same weapons (except for Don) not to mention they changed their personality so voice line will not work. Not to mention Ralph would be like a hulk size

Rise was actually pretty good, like the movie was awesome and the show got better as it when passed the first few episodes as the later half of the first season got the ball moving then season 2 REALLY got it good especially when it was getting into it’s lore

Probably because some people didn’t think that skins would be a thing for the game. I haven’t played shredder’s revenge, but hearing that they are making skins of various iterations of the turtles like the 2003 show and rise gets some people who loved those shows some interest if they didn’t before
