I tried this last night. THANK YOU CJ! I dry brined overnight with our homemade seasoned salt. I smoked at 200 to 120 then seared on the grill setting. If anyone is wondering if they should try it, I recommend you do. This is my new go to for steak.

I just got my Ninja WoodFire today. I love your videos. They are my tutorials. I assume that you season both sides of those thick steaks. If you season the bottoms and put them on a rack in the refrigerator, won't the moisture that is drawn out drip onto the cookie sheet you mention and not be in contact with the steak so it can't draw the moisture and seasoning back in?
@CookingWithCJ
@CookingWithCJ Жыл бұрын
I Season both sides. It just works. Not sure the science behind it.

Mmmmmmmm, Those steaks looked absolutely awesome, I don't think you found those at Stater Bros, LOL. As usual, your recipe for them was spot on and that grill works perfectly, I know I love mine. Try to stay cool and safe in the I.E. and take care of that ROBO arm.

CJ help me understand something with the Woodfire grill (I dont have one) - If I want to grill a steak then immediately after aircrisp some wings can I use the same pellets that have already been ignited from the steak? Does the Ninja know it's already got lit pellets in? How does it work in those scenarios? Cheers, love the videos!
@CookingWithCJ
@CookingWithCJ Жыл бұрын
Thanks!! Yes you can use the same pellets as long as there are still some in the hopper to burn. It’s not automatic for the Woodfire to say when it’s out, you’ll have to keep an eye on it.

Maybe a stupid question as looking at getting a wood fire grill but can you cook on grill for example with the lid open? Obviously not when smoking as you need to seal it in etc but if you’re not smoking
