I tried this last night. THANK YOU CJ! I dry brined overnight with our homemade seasoned salt. I smoked at 200 to 120 then seared on the grill setting. If anyone is wondering if they should try it, I recommend you do. This is my new go to for steak.

I just got my Ninja WoodFire today. I love your videos. They are my tutorials. I assume that you season both sides of those thick steaks. If you season the bottoms and put them on a rack in the refrigerator, won't the moisture that is drawn out drip onto the cookie sheet you mention and not be in contact with the steak so it can't draw the moisture and seasoning back in?
@CookingWithCJ Жыл бұрын
I Season both sides. It just works. Not sure the science behind it.

Mmmmmmmm, Those steaks looked absolutely awesome, I don't think you found those at Stater Bros, LOL. As usual, your recipe for them was spot on and that grill works perfectly, I know I love mine. Try to stay cool and safe in the I.E. and take care of that ROBO arm.
@paulmillen2101 Жыл бұрын
Another question-did you close the lid when you seared the steaks?
@CookingWithCJ Жыл бұрын
If they’re thicker steaks I do close the lid.

Those steaks are Money! Have you ever grilled shin bones, scoop the marrow out and spread on steaks? I've been getting them from WildFork and they are amazing. Love to see a video of that. Have a good one.

Hi mate I've got two questions: 1- how would you handly one inch cut Ribeye steaks? 2-is your heat settings Celsius or Fahrenheit? Thanks in advance
@CookingWithCJ6 ай бұрын
Hi, I cook to the internal temps you like. And I use Fahrenheit, but I try to put temps in Celsius in the directions. I also put it in Celsius on my cookbooks.
@naturreal17053 ай бұрын
Why is the app showing Celsius instead of Fahrenheit.. anyone know how to fix it?

Thank you for your videos. So do you flip when you are smoking them and bringing them up to temp or just when you are searing?

CJ help me understand something with the Woodfire grill (I dont have one) - If I want to grill a steak then immediately after aircrisp some wings can I use the same pellets that have already been ignited from the steak? Does the Ninja know it's already got lit pellets in? How does it work in those scenarios? Cheers, love the videos!
@CookingWithCJ Жыл бұрын
Thanks!! Yes you can use the same pellets as long as there are still some in the hopper to burn. It’s not automatic for the Woodfire to say when it’s out, you’ll have to keep an eye on it.
@aaronemptage14486 ай бұрын
Maybe a stupid question as looking at getting a wood fire grill but can you cook on grill for example with the lid open? Obviously not when smoking as you need to seal it in etc but if you’re not smoking

Yes you can grill with the lid open.

Mine hasn't, but I've seen other people have that issue. It doesn't really hurt anything that I can think of, but if it bugs you, then reach out to Ninja, maybe they can help.

Can you just add more pellets after the set is gone or is it a certain way to do it?
