Jay has always been my favourite character since I was 7 so i found it hard to like him in the movie. I feel like his lack of confidence and how soft he became kinda ruined his character for me and he was nowhere near as funny as he was in the show. In the show I like how he was a coward but at the same time seemed confident in a way, but in the movie he turned into a complete fluttershy. Idk I guess I just like obnoxious characters. I also miss the slit eyebrow 😔

I never liked the movie ninjas when I first watched it. At first, I thought the movie ninjas were like the beloved ninjas we know and love but no, I was wrong. These ninjas aren't so cool, sure they had mechs but no spinjitzu and more importantly, the movie was off, very off, Lloyds mother wasn't misako and the movie had no cool animation, it's focus was *lego* not TV animation like the TV ninjas. Mostly everyone, if not, everyone HATES this movie. The meaning behind the movie is to look at someone in a different perspective but I think Jackie chan should use different Lego figures instead of ninjas which is why I HATE the movie. The TV ninjago is BIG step up from the movie, sure it was before the movie but who cares! To follow, the TV stepped up there game with season 8, sons of garmadon which introduces new looks to the ninjas and mostly everyone. I just finished watching season 8 and it was a blast! (By the way, where is season 9 hunted in Netflix, it's not there). The storyline, the jitzu's ( spinjitzu and airjitzu), the backstory and the ninjas ( Kai, jay, Cole, Zane, Lloyd, Nya ) are great to ninjago. Honestly, it's a W for TV ninjago and a L for movie ninjago.

However, I will most likely put the list as Movie Lloyd vs TV Lloyd: TV Lloyd wins (I do think Movie Lloyd is really awesome) Movie Nya vs TV Nya: Tough one, but I think I’ll disagree with Tanner here and go with Movie Nya. Personally I didn’t see the whole “political” thing with her (and I’m one of those people who will supremely acknowledge a film if it does do it), and she more came off as that overly cool friend we all have. Still love you TV Nya. Movie Kai vs TV Kai: Movie Kai. Movie Zane vs TV Zane: Easy, TV Zane. Movie Jay vs TV Jay: Another tough one for me. I’ll just flip a coin here. Heads for Movie Jay, Tails for TV Jay. I got heads. Movie Jay. Movie Cole vs TV Cole: I’m going to once again go against Tanner and chose TV Cole. Cole for me in the film was the weakest for me, as while I liked that laidback nature of his, I felt like he didn’t really have a lot of moments that I was impressed by him, while I feel with TV Cole, I liked the idea of a guy who has always been there for his team, but is a bit insecure as he feels at times like his team doesn’t appreciate him as much. That’s what I got with him more. And the Tallies are in: WOW! I have a tie here. Hmm, now what? I think I’ll come up with a tiebreaker, and I think it’s overall character. The TV versions have far more development to them, and have generally (except for Cole) have had their own season to further develop their character, often having side plots with each character, while the film did a great job developing Lloyd (in my opinion) but unfortunately setting the Ninja to the sidelines. So, TV version wins. But I still love both versions of the Ninja, and would most likely want to hang out with both of them either way.

Personality wise, I prefer the tv show all the way. Design wise? I slightly prefer the movie designs and like the tv show redesigns best. It may be because I’m a newer fan. When I heard the ninjago movie that I never saw had a tv show, I decided to watch it. And I loved it, and still do. It’s likely because I have newer eyes, so I may not be as tied to the older designs. Just my thoughts though.

The thing that sucks the most about the movie is that this could have been a great way introduce more people to the Ninjago universe. They could have brought back the voice actors and have made it an epic retelling of the first pilot season on a budget the show could never have. It could have been like Lord of the Rings.

I didn't even have to watch the video to come up with a conclusion. TV Ninjago is *_beyond_* better than the movie. When I first heard that Ninjago was getting a movie I was so excited, Ninjago totally deserves a movie. But when I saw the trailer for the first time, I was honestly disappointed with it. Yeah, I was still excited and I was hoping it was going to be good, but I was saddened about all of the differences. The characters were the same, sure, but they didn't look the same. When the movie came out I was underwhelmed and, again, disappointed about the differences and the dynamics. Sorry for the long rant, I just felt this was important to say.

The different between the tv and the movie is 1. Nya and Jay has a love interest 2. Kai doesnt have a bandage on his head 3. Cole isnt into music hes is into cake 4. Wu did not fall in the water 5. Misako did not care is garmadon is evil she loves him 6 Garmadon did not make fun of Lloyd or mistake his name. 7. When garmadon turned good he and lloyd had a father and son relationship by spending time together (Meanwhile in the movie he was evil and made fun of him) 8. Everyone loves lloyd.

Since watching Ninjago series every day as a child, watching the movie years later proves a big difference in style as the characters are way more like-able in the series than in the movie. WHAT HAPPENED???

I agree about nya and I like the tv show characters but that’s most likely because I’m used to the tv show version great video
