Just finished the neuromuscular junction series in about a week, being able to copy it all down on paper with just like 5 errors in totalafter watching every video one time - For me, your format of constant repetition and tying every concept to something emotionally loaded ("This is a REALLY cool protein (Calsequestrin)", dendrotoxin , bungarotoxin-Snakes) etc just adds to your great knowledge. Fantastic content, all my best!

Cardiac myocytes remove cytosolic Ca2+ by 2 mechanisms: SERCA and a Na+-Ca2+ exchanger (3 Na+ in, 1 Ca2+ out) on the sarcolemmal membrane. Skeletal muscle only utilizes SERCA.

uve said somewhere that the calcium-sodium transporter is an ATPase raising the question is it a primary active transport, its rather a secondary active transport and the energy for the movement of calcium outside the cell is obtained from the flowing of sodium down the concentration gradient, good work though
