Started taking my master's in nutrition. My prof went through glycolysis, glycogenolysis, glycogenesis, gluconeogenesis, and the pentose phosphate pathway in 4 classes. Thank you for clarifying everything and explaining how the different pathways are inter-related (the most difficult part in my opinion). You're a biochem ninja!

An awesome video. I was avoiding reading this pathway for my exam as I feared it will mix up the existing pathways that I've read so far. But your explanation was so good that I now completely understand where all the pathways fit in and how they are regulated... Keep up the good work guys.

Thank you so much for all your fantastic videos! In this one I would just like to mention that when H2O2 is conwerted to H2O and 1/2 O2 by catalase, it doesn't involve reduction (as you said, H2O2 -> H2O + 1/2O2). Glutathione peroxydase acts through reduction of H2O2, which turns it into water, but there is no O2 in products (H2O2 + 2 G-SH -> 2H2O + G-S-S-G)
