Yes. Doing in-depth tutorials on different materials/part are a life saver. instead of trying to find certain aspects of a long video and then having to replay that over and over while painting.

It's such an amazing thing to have such an array of "tutorials" to pick from. You can get something like " how to paint faces " by Jon, which is something that hits a wide range of use. Then you got Vincy V. with a tutorial on how to paint the big toenail on a Spacewolf's right foot during a Bloodmoon. Thanks for yet another amazing video with a lot to learn

Definitely prefer these videos, because these are the ones that will actually make me paint better- as opposed to other painting videos where you just watch someone paint with zero direction on how to replicate the end goal.

I enjoy video that highlight ways to possibly conserve time in painting. The 30 minute face is the "best bang for your buck" so to speak. And pointing that out points at the best way to utilize my time painting, especially when army painting and not display or competition painting.

A fun video! If I could offer one suggestion; I'd have a section of the 3 heads, in their finished state, at the very beginning of the video and ask the audience to choose A, B or C on which is which. Then proceed with the painting steps / instruction. This way your audience is then vested into seeing if they were right. You might get a few more people watching until the end that way.

Id like more content like this Ninjon. Painting the eyes for table top is a personal choice, thank you for saying so. Maybe cover techniques to define the eyes, without painting the whites, iris, lens.... Also, as an aircraft mechanic, i see loads of different coloes of bare metal. I try to emulate that on my figures. But many folks have never seen a naked jet engine. Maybe show how to paint different colors of metal that isnt "lead belcher/nuln oil"....i wouldn't have said anything, but you asked. 👍❤️

This is great Mr. Ninjon! I actually stopped the vid at the point where you show the finished 60min and 30min faces and they are IDENTICAL! Fantastic work. I (like so many mini painters) are rubbish at painting faces. This a boon my friend. Cheers from across The Pond.

Fantastic video! Id really like you to do more of these with different skin tones because while the steps may be the same, the color choices would be different. I'm working on improving my ability to paint dark skin tones now and there is so much variation in color choice that impacts the final result, I feel like it would be a rich topic for you to explore. Anyway, as always great work!

I guess having time limits is like figure drawing, you're going to focus on the important gestures when the clock is ticking, and sometimes having more time gives worse result because you relax and slow down... until the timer hits zero and you're only half way done.

I love watching you paint and I think this video is particularly good because you are teaching me something new. That being said I appreciate that it isn't always possible to find a new technique or something else new for each video and I feel that it is important to say that sometimes the best videos for me are watching someone just painting and letting us follow the process.

This was a great video. I love seeing the technique, I love the fact that it was an experiment where you got to do some theory crafting then we got to watch you apply the things you were talking about. I have been prepping to make a serious attempt at faces and this video crammed so much into a short amount of time it was the best video on the subject that I’ve watched so far.

I enjoyed your video greatly. Having recently returned to painting after a good amount of time I am trying to learn new ways of doing my models, I noticed many painters are using techniques which either dinnae exist or more likely were not publicly shared in the past. Watching you do faces in several different time limits was extremely helpful. Any chance you could do a video on bare hands, gloved hands or any other type of hands?

I love these tutorials. The fact you are willing to dive into the weeds on these things absolutely is amazing, and the technical details isn't really easy to find in a lot of places. I really enjoyed this video, not for the deep dive specifically, but rather highlighting how much can be done with some forethought prior to setting out. The 30 minute face looks awesome, and even for 10 minutes is clean. Knowing how you decided to adjust the process to the "errors" that happened provided a lot of insight to higher level painting skills such as color mixing on the fly and adjusting saturation and contrast.

Very much appreciate the tips and ideas. We are taught in traditional portrait painting that the face can be looked at primarily in 3 colors to create that realistic skin effect: yellows in the forehead, reds in the cheeks, nose, and around the eyes (middle of face), and blue for the bottom. What you show here makes sense.
