I made these but I'm an American so I did some math and some experimenting and made them with, 1/2 cup of heavy cream 9 to 10 Tbsp (tablespoons) of semi sweet chocolate chips And about 5 Tbsp of unsalted butter I just followed the video and they turned out well, me and my family ate them within an hour. Edit. If their not the right constancy and seem a little oily then add a little more cream and if you ran out of cream then normal milk will work.

I recommend everyone to to be extra careful with the temperature of the whipping cream+butter mixture and don't wait until it bubbles. Mine was too hot and in the end it didn't mix with the chocolate but the liquid butter separated and swam on top. You can't fix the mixture once it's been too hot :( don't make the same mistake like me! I got the Royce Nama chocolate as a gift from someone from Japan a few years ago and ever since I've been trying to find it or something similar in Germany but with no luck. I was very excited when I found this recipe and today I just tried to make them for the first time to give them to my boyfriend. I don't know why my melted ingredients don't mix well :( the melted butter parted itself and now swims on top... I used exactly the ingredients that you have mentioned and for chocolate I used 65% Lindt Excellence chocolate. I don't know what happened 😖 I'm letting it cool down in the refrigerator right now and fingers crossed it will still turn out well for valentine's day tomorrow. I don't have any spare ingredients to try again 😵 A quick Google turned out, that the mixture probably got too hot for the chocolate although I only heated up the butter and cream and then poured it over the chocolate in a bowl like the video suggested 😭 I highly recommend to not wait until the butter/cream mixture blows bubbles. I will update in a few hours if the chocolate still turns out OK after it's totally cooled down. Edit : unfortunately, it didn't turn out well :( there was a separate layer of butter on top, so I reheated the mixture and tried to stir it more. I let it cool down again and it mixed a bit better but the result still looked bad with all the fat clumps in between the chocolate. I could some cover it with cocoa powder but the texture overall wasn't smooth but quite gritty. My boyfriend was still nice though, ate some and thanked me for the effort. I'll try the recipe again in the future because I'm sure it will taste nice.

maybe u can try heating the whipping cream on med heat till the sides form tiny bubbles then remove instantly -> add choc -> mix -> add butter -> mix. hope this helps. I did that and it worked.

Hello, I tried this recipe too but I warmed the butter + whipped creamed mixture for a while , and added the chopped chocolate bit by bit over the fire (keeping the fire small). I was afraid that the mixture wasn’t hot enough to mix well with the chocolate and I didn’t want to risk over-burning it in the microwave. It worked well for me!

Haii, I’m a Malaysian. It’s glad to watch your video here. I’ve tried your recipe. I think... I should use less whipping cream for my chocolate firstly I use dark chocolate but I think it is not a 100% dark chocolate maybe.. 60% perhaps.. this cause my nama chocolate has very low melting point lol, I can’t cut it properly. Or I can just say the room temperature in Malaysia is high lol so someone from Malaysia who want to try this recipe u can consider the percentage of the chocolate or the volume of whipping cream

It's about the same but I personally would say this taste better. The chocolate can be called “Nama Chocolate” when it contains at least 40% chocolate and 10% cream by weight, and no more than 10% water. Nama Chocolate is a form of ganache, similar to the filling inside French truffles. It’s made of fresh cream and chocolate, cut into little cubes, and dusted with fine cocoa powder.

My mom makes dishes like this with condensed milk, dark chocolate, butter and cocoa powder every year during summer vacation. I love it! When you say it is many times better than the cheap ones, I totally agree with you.
