Nintendo 6/18/24 Direct Predictions & Wishes

I'm getting this uploaded in the final hours, but I've been working on this for quite some time. The build up to this direct has been hype, and I assume that many announcements will be Remasters, Remakes, and Ports. With a couple announcements here and there.

I would be super happy for the KIU community if it got a remake, chiefly because it would mean the online would be alive again

We'd be pleasantly surprised if a KIU remake is announced, and moreover if it gets similar treatment to Super Mario RPG Switch which has the Timing Chain mechanic to help Bowser and Mallow along and other good things about it, but it's definitely a possibility, hence my efforts with 9.0 with a base weapon type just last night where I actually ended up doing No Damage against Great Reaper and Tanatos.

I haven't pay attention to any rumors or leaks, so it was nice to get up to speed with those. Personally, I'm hoping for either a new F-Zero game or as you predict GX with all the arcade content, and I especially want a brand new Star Fox game that learns from the successes and stumbles of the past to create an overall awesome game, though I would be satisfied with an Assault remake that fixes the controls and adds new stages and multiplayer. Just in general, I'd like some faster paced action games for Switch, since I've been addicted to the action genre this year and I haven't really gotten my fill on Switch recently.

I know we’ve had Mario Party games later in their console’s lives before, but it just makes no sense to not have Mario Baseball finally round out the four classic Mario Sports franchises. And given that we’ve always gotten a new Mario Sports game within a two year span or less, there literally couldn’t be a better time for Mario Baseball to finally shine again. Also I’d argue there’s been more than enough time between Prime 1 Remastered for Prime 2 and arguably 3 to both get remastered. Prime 1 Remastered finished development a year before it was shadow dropped, so Retro could’ve very well been secretly working on Prime 2 Remastered all this time. And given how short of a game Prime 2 is, it wouldn’t really take that long for them to finish developing the game within a two year span under the same engine they’ve already established. I can definitely see us getting a fully remastered Prime 2 by tomorrow with the announcement of Prime 3 Remastered potentially coming out later this year or early next year before the Switch 2. And as for Prime 4, Retro Studios is a big enough gaming company where they could’ve split the work between two development teams at once. Keep in mind that they’ve already been working on Prime 4 since Nintendo initially delayed it. So Prime 4 may very well be near completion.

I will have my expectations very low. I don't expect to see anything Mario- Zelda- or Metroid-related, but what I'm HOPING for with the switch nearing the end of it's lifecycle would be a remaster of Beyond Good and Evil and Project Zero 2. Now that would make me very happy.

I would like a few Third Party titles to be announced or Remastered for the Switch EShop. I would LOVE if they ported The Mass Effect Trilogy to the Switch. They're my three favorite games of all time. I also would love to see Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2, specifically the (in my opinion) superior Wii version. And Spider-Man for Ps4, even if graphically downgraded and a lowerframe rate, would be great if they could make it play well!

I'm expecting Suikoden 1 & 2 Remaster to finally get a release date alongside maybe something from Monolith Soft but my hopes are a Switch Port of Kid Icarus Uprising & a Xenosaga remaster collection also it's very nice to see you get Xenoblade 2 & Advanced Wars Re-Boot Camp

I honestly hope Rainbow Curse’s remake DOESN’T have gyroscope controls because I don’t think gyroscope controls are very good. Especially if you’re playing while in a moving vehicle.

I could not get into the Prime port, because I seem to be cursed with JoyCon Drift, as even the one JoyCon I bought later also has drift, and the controls don't feel right without motion controls. Which is a shame, as I loved Prime Trilogy, that I still have on my WiiU, but because of JoyCon Drift I can't enjoy the Prime port to the Switch.

Here's something I fear or have concerns about. While I do like one for the switch, a Star Fox remake/reboot is at a dire state, since its recent game is a 64 rehash, and feels like's its currently doomed with the only game they can do is mediocre at best. Mario Party currently has a bad record of new releases, even with Superstars, most people will play 1-3 over this due to NSO Expansion. And as for Mario and Luigi, will they even be a true remake without the original developers?

Come on Code Name Steam 2 or remake come Nintendo where is it.. And Perfect Dark port(not for SNOS) but with Gyro aim and Graphic toggle and 60 FPS. Come one Nintendo it's my birthday so don't disappoint me.. (And a Sin and Punishment collection please..)

So Nintendo takes down rom sites and emulator software in order to resell them for $60 -$70 dollars..... I aint paying a damn dime for old ass games that should be 100% free.
