Tbh it’s not a Nintendo product, nor a Microsoft one, it’s just that these companies are getting it on release. So I can totally see the trailer just coming out randomly on team cherry’s channel since it still is an indie game, not a big budget release or an exclusive.

what people are mostly saying is that this was their last chance to reach a wider audience outside of the hk community before the june "deadline", that's why people had expectations for this specifically. Basically if it really is coming out any time soon, it's a big marketing fail to not include anything during the direct

As far as I'm aware, the launch trailer for the first game was released independently so it wouldn't be out of nowhere for them to simply do that again. Tbh it might still happen this month, maybe... eh wouldn't count on it

@@thedarkphantom1784 Yeah, that's probably going to happen, just because there aren't really any other events that it could release on (if it is true that it's coming by June 12) Some people have speculated that it's coming in February just because it seems to be a big month for team cherry (HK release, silksong announcement,), but we'll have to just wait and see.

tbh I dont know why so many people are disappointed about this, there are other games to play, and I feel like a lot of people forget that Hollow Knight was made by 3 people, 3 PEOPLE I can't imagine the amount of workload these people have had since Silksong was announced, I'm glad because you can't rush art, if you push it too hard there's bound to be mistakes or lack of time to create good ideas. Last thing I would want is for Team Cherry to be working crunch

I think this is for the best because this is Nintendo and everybody’s more hype about tears of the kingdom, it wouldn’t the best move to put that on the Direct. And also, let’s not forget Splatoon,Metroid,xeno blade and fire emblem plus the expansion pack got more attention. It’s for the best, but look on the bright side. At least we got the entire February for them to have some type of release date possibly on hollow knight six anniversary

Exactly it really is bizarre, i was expecting the announcement today then the release on the 24th just like the first game makes perfect sense. But this is very strange if it’s not February then when exactly will they release it alongside other major releases.
