@@Yusei255 Final Major Update was 2.0, doesn’t stop minor updates hence why we are now on 2.0.6 so we could definitely see a major update being 3.0 and then no more updates ever after that… Nintendo loves to surprise us fans

I played the originals and played them on Wii U so this isn’t high on my personal most wanted, but I really can’t believe we’re into year 8 of Switch and they still haven’t come over! Seems like it would be a no brainer money-printer for Nintendo. I still think they’re coming before Switch 2

I'd love a New Leaf port or remake. I also want them to put the Sonic Adventure games on the Switch so we can have a portable Chao garden but that's up to Sega rather than Nintendo.

Right. They're not updating NH. That's off the books. I doubt they will remake or port any older AC games either, they've never done it before. As cool as that would be. We'll probably have to wait for Switch 2 for any new AC content.

Nothings ever off the books with Nintendo. Plus they ported the N64 to Gamecube, and brought Wild World from DS to Wii-U. Not to mention updating New Leaf 5 years after launch.

I said another update would be unlikely, but let’s be honest we simply don’t know.. unless of course you work at Nintendo and are omitting details. The reality is that plans change all the time. Marketing strategies change. Board members demands change. Games turn around and sell 45million copies unexpectedly and change things. Nintendo change their minds all the time with releases. We simply have no idea if a new update could drop or not lol

I think that an update to acnh is fully possible. if the rumour is true, then things like a mic will be included in switch 2 and maybe nintendo will introduce some new mechanics to acnh for people that play on the switch 2 (if it is backwards compatible). also since splatoon 3 live service is ending edp5 (the division that makes the ac and splatoon games) are technically "free" to focus on ac again s hopefully while theyre working on the next game they can drop something for acnh as well.

A remaster of either the original Animal Crossing or New Leaf would be INSANE. I'd have to apologize for the person I would become if they announced that. However, whenever I hear the phrase "This would be the logical step" and it's about Nintendo... yeah, they won't do that 🥲

My five most wanted remakes (even though it's possible that none of them will ever happen): Animal Crossing City Folk with QoL changes (give us the choice to turn off animal tracks). Kirby Squeak Squad with a Daroach story (or epilogue). Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire (I know we already have the ORAS remake, but the ds/3ds are dead at this point). Disgaea 2 (We have 1,4,5,6,and 7 on the Switch, so why not also port 2 to the switch or next console)? Super Mario Land, but with Luigi instead of Mario (Super Luigi Land could work, since Daisy is the Princess in need of saving).

Can't wait to see what's announced in the DIRECT! I am always hopeful for a remake/new entry in the Golden Sun franchise! And I'm always hopeful for a ACNH 3.0 update (I know it's not going to happen, but a girl can dream!) or ACPC content being added! Also will be interested to see if there's a new Pokemon remake announced (or addition to the NSO emulators). And I always keep an eye out for Story of Seasons and Harvest Moon announcements.

I too have predictions it'll be port/remake season the remaining time of the Switch cuz even though a lot of time is still left for the Switch, when a new console launches, they usually take their time before opening the floodgates of popular series. They're not gonna announce a new Mario, Zelda, Donkey Kong, Metroid and other 1st or 2nd party games all at once, it'll take awhile before we see a giant lineup on the Switch successor and seeing as how the Switch has just about a rep from most if not all current main Nintendo series except for like Star Fox which could get a Switch port from Wii U's Star Fox: Zero hopefully with the option to play without motion controls for example would be a fantastic idea and choice port in my opinion, but a New Leaf expansion port would be absolutely amazing in my opinion, and would LOVE to see that happen.

Rainbow Curse is a game I assumed would stay Wii U exclusive considering the controls… I suppose you could use the joy-con gyro aiming to draw on the TV but I think it would just be too clunky. I’d rather see Xenoblade X or the HD Zeldas
