There is already speculation from retailers in the UK that the system is going to £280 which $400 in the US. Australian retailer EB Games has listed $600 which is in keeping with that and Iwata has already said the system will cost more than 20,000 Yen which at that price would have put it at $250, I think the system will cost closer to 30,000 Yen which would put it in line with what stores have been estimating.

Nintendo should not be featuring third party games on their systems. Nintendo is famous for their first and second party games only. They really need to focus more on those games in particular, rather than trying to cater to 'hardcore gamers'. if they did that, they would have more memorable games from all of their great series (mario, zelda, and other second party series) that we have all come to enjoy. Stop focusing on third party titles Nintendo; we love you for your iconic titles.

Not true after the Wii's lack of 3rd party support they did need to show people that they have the third parties back on their side but they shouldn't have focused on games that have or will be released prior to the WiiU's launch, they should of just had them all in a combination trailer unless it's a major not yet released 3rd party title that uses the WiiU Game Pad in an interesting way.

Reggie pulling the "launch window" card.. We know what they means Reggie, it means these 25 games will be spread over 2 months making launch feel baron and lacking titles which will hit you hard especially launching at Christmas, if you don't offer a selection people want they won't buy it.

I can already tell this console is gonna be better than the Wii. It has better launch title/window games. It looks as though Nintendo is gonna release games at a better pace. Miyamoto said he wants Starfox and Metroid on the Wii U. Nintendo Land is gonna be a launch title, NSMBU will release around that time. Nintendo is making more sequels to games that came out a decade ago (Pikmin 3). We know more games in the works, Zelda, Smash, Retro Studios Project, and a 3D Mario. It's gonna be great!

I admit that the core crowd is definitely spoiled over at Sony. However, this crowd did bring the console manufacturers the success they have today in order to consider other markets. That being said, it's hard to be supportive for what they showed. I think people would be more balanced with their criticism if they showed extended gameplay of unreleased titles core titles running on the system. After 6 years of Wii, core players don't want to hear persuasion to play ME and Batman again

They could show something 2 get people hyped, a CG trailer or even what the new Super Smash Bros name or announce what game Retro's been working on If it's a known Nintendo franchise, anything to get people outside of the hardcore excited about this console. Nintendo should have known a long time ago that they'd need a new console and they were not prepared that's inexcusable I would have rather'd it get delayed then forced out without software behind it like the 3DS did.

People r most hyped to see the capabilities on the new console so if they didn't have games they should have at least shown some concepts or character models in HD. They told us about Super Smash Bros last year they could have shown something to show people how it would look on the new machine and that would have been perfect because that would show how all if not the most important Nintendo characters look in their new console. The only game that showed what the console could do was Pikmin 3

well the thing is with Smash Bros the games only been in development for 4 months and remember there not only making it for Wii U but the 3DS also and who knows they could already begun working on there other first party titles and just holding back on showing them i would rather nintendo take there time with these titles rather than rush something out thats not ready yet! it wouldn't be wise to drop title after title they may spread those out so they'll have something down the line later!

True statement, plus the hardware in the Wii U isn't that far ahead of the PS3 and 360. As far as games go I was waiting to play these games on the Wii U. I only select certain games for consoles and the rest I play on PC. The first Batman I got for PC and it was far better than the console games because there was more than one way that I could play it. Giving people new controller options will definitely work. I have 3 different types of controllers for my PC and its fun playing games on each.

They made sure their conference was shown on G4 and Spike since they are trying to appeal to the core gamers. They had one, ZombieU; 2 at best (Pikmin 3) They should have handed the hardware to the "smash bros", "zelda," "metroid" and "starfox" developers a long time ago so that they'd convince us to get the console right away this e3! They've lost what little faith the core gamers had in them. Now they have to work EVEN HARDER to get their attention..

When the wii u is finally released, they're only going to have a few iconic titles available for their fans. why not focus more on the upcoming super smash bros. game? certainly it won't be complete at the time of the wii u's release, but at this rate we'll probably be getting it sometime in late 2013, which is simply too long. the shimmer of hope the wii u has now will be gone by then. (that is, of course, unless the upcoming mario games and the single pikmin game live up to their predecessors)

There wont be any new Xbox in a while. Microsoft just anounced that they are going to change the software on the current Xbox, making it a mediacenter. The 360 will also be able to communicate with other portable microsoft devices... They would not be doing this if they were making a new system; they would waste money! :/
