Agreed. I see a lot of people that say "Don't rush them, let them take their time!", which is fine, I just want to make sure that Silksong actually exists and wasn't some sort of global fever dream.

@@Doctortots Exactly! A developer can take their time developing a game to the best it can be and ALSO have the decency to communicate and be transparent with their fans about it. I don’t know why people seem to think the two are mutually exclusive.

You could often find updates, or at least see ads to know a game was still being worked on in gaming magazines like Nintendo Power, on commercials, heck, even in ads at movie theaters (I still remember being freaked out by that Majora's Mask ad). Plus, since social media wasn't really a thing back then, often times you wouldn't even know about a game until it was close to launching (keyword being often times, I'm fully aware that there are some exceptions.

While it's strange to not have news for this long, the situation in Indie World was not okay. Anyone genuinely excited or happy with the releases was drowned out by a mass of screams for Silksong - which of course did nothing to the prerecorded livestream but sour the mood.

Yeah. Silksong had information released on a Nintendo direct in 2019, more news in the random ass Nintendo Treehouse later that year, and the latest official news was announced in December of 2020. You'd think there would be *some* news released this year which is why people were betting on the indie world. Cuz ya know, it's an indie game. That hasn't released news all year.

@@FluffyPumpy Tried Wilson, though I didn't succeed very far and so I picked Woodie at random next (and current) since he seemed pretty simple, though no Glommer for me ;( Also Webber looks and sounds interesting to me, actually plan to check him out soon next. other than that Wormwood looks great design wise (though I have no idea how the DLC characters work and he apparently is relatively underwhelming)
