While comparing prices in the US and Europe, you forgot the fact that all our prices are with tax included. You can find a Switch Lite over here for around 220-230, VAT included.

I think fixing Japan's economy should be first thing before they can worry about prices ,but I agree $400 (USD) is realistic price. I suspect they probably will delay for few times because they're waiting for Japan's economy recover from recession so that they won't offend Japanese gamers with wrong prices.

For me this price is great, 400 USD basically you get more and more quality. Simple and elegant, worth buying. But if it's not different from the current model, I probably won't buy it. which must wait for the game machine to come out There will be a choice between Nintendo Switch 2 and PS 5 Pro.

It's going to compare favorably with an Xbox Series S imo. We already know a lot about the SoC from the Nvidia hack. A bit lower raw power than Xbox but better ray tracing and ability to utilize dlss thanks to Nvidia hardware.

Local play does exist on switch without internet. Many games support it like Super Smash, Mario Kart, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, etc. Unless you're referring to the DS download play in which case the games on the switch are MUCH bigger than DS games and make download play not practical at all.

The price is in fact lower now than at launch… a non-OLED switch would have to be around $385 now to be the same $300 when it launched. A dollar is a representation of value, not the actual value itself.

Based off what info we have, I don't think it'll be native 4K but use DLSS, etc. Games should look amazing, and most importantly, run well at over 60fps. Keep in mind leaked specs are around a PS4 Pro level. I personally think anything above that is overkill for what Nintendo can produce. Backwards compatibility leaks lead that Switch games will match the Switch 2's specs. Given Nintendo specifying "the end of the fiscal year" (March 2025), I think the Switch 2 will be announced around fall and release late spring to match the Switch's March 2017 release. Price is rumored at least $400. Most importantly, I would wait and see what new games will be announced for both consoles. Specs and price are worthless if the games are ignored.

I think the price should be adjusted depending on the performance of the system compare to the switch, for example: - Does it have better internal memory space compare to the switch's 32gb or its still the same? - Can we increase the memory space by using ssd like example the msata or are we still using the Micro SD? - Is the performance of the system able to do equal or better resolution than 1080p (both in handheld &/or dock mode) than the switch or still about the same? - Are all the games gonna be able to run higher than 30 fps (at leas min 60fps or a bit more) or are they gonna lock them on 30 fps like on the switch? - Are any 3rd Party games will be able to make their games( new or port versions) be able to run in better performance or are they gonna have to downgrade just like they have done for the switch versions? - Is the CPU of the system its gonna do better performance than the one the switch has or its gonna be lock around the same or a bit more making performance kinda minimal? - Is the suppose Switch 2 will perform maybe on par to both Xbox and PS5 or its just gonna be a bit higher to the regular switch and behind those 2 systems? If the overall of the Switch 2 has a much better performance than the switch 1( better higher specs to be close to Xbox and the PS5)) then yest the $400 might be around the ball park. But if the performance is not that much and just a little bit stronger than the switch 1 but still far behind the Xbox and PS5 then no, the price of the switch 2 shouldn't be $400 if the changes are just minimal.

The switch 2 SoC is called Tegra T239. It will have 12gb of lpddr5x RAM (120gb/s. The storage is 256 GB of UFS 3.1. It's basically something in between a PS4 and an Xbox Series S, but with better ray tracing and dlss to boost resolution. It's going to have 4k games. Not all games will run at that resolution of course.

I doubt it, Nintendo treats the Switch more like a home console, and everytime the new console launches it replaces its previous home console, same with the handheld systems. NES>SNES>N64>GCN>Wii>Wii U>Switch

It won’t because the original Nintendo Switch model was made with hardware that was already out of date and would eventually turn the consoles into a brick console like mine I can’t play Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 online without constantly getting kicked out so I literally had to sit next to my house’s router just to be able to play online

I am kind of mixed that they are not giving interim information since annual forecasts are subject to change throughout the fiscal year. While I understand that they do not want to disclose IR software information, they need to continue to update shareholders if their annual forecasts have changed. By not doing this, it could lead investors to believe that Nintendo could reach expectations that are no longer achievable. I also, feel that they need to prioritize making the Switch 2 a success. I appreciate the fact that they are trying to avoid the issue of people reselling the new console, but I would hope the changes are not minor if this is going to be a 2025 release.

That’s quite a wonderful insight, and to be honest, i expect a switch 2 direct in september at the earliest, and i predict that they will show off the console then, and if they show off their new consone in september, then i expect the price reviel to be around beginning or late december. But do know that this is speculation on my end. And i’m quite hyped for the switch 2 tbh, and would love to hear even earlier of it, butvthat isn’t realistic 😅

I'm pretty sure we won't see anything over 400. Nintendo isn't directly competing with PS or XBOX in terms of hardware, and they are smart enough to have a lower price. The Switch was cheaper than the competition even when it launched
