Baby Pac-Man was my first experience with a pinball game based on an arcade game, and it was also the first hybrid video arcade games/pinball game that I know of or played.
@BAKU2K25 жыл бұрын
@@Charlesb88 Actually, Gottlieb's "Caveman" was released a few months prior to Baby Pac Man, so technically that makes Baby Pac Man the second video-pinball hybrid.
@Sprikers5 жыл бұрын
Caveman was a pinball with a tiny TV in it. It wasn’t really a hybrid in the same sense. Also caveman sucked and doesn’t have a standard monitor like you’d think. Baby Pac starts as an arcade machine and you have to move down to the pinball to earn power ups

The fact I got to play with this machine loads as a kid... BLOWS MY MIND now that I know there was about 500 of them made. Still remember to this day losing countless games over those Warp Pipes, still a fun time though.

I remember that particular pinball machine on El Quisco, Chile, near the fair area... only 1 coin to play and i pulled a lot of tickets to exchange them for pop corn or cotton candy, those days were the best, sweet memories playing that machine over and over. EDIT: this machine and a popular Mario Bros arcade with the graphics of the SNES remake in All Stars, that arcade was so hard to play that i couldn't finish a single level.

The "Pinball Hall of Fame" in Las Vegas actually has one of these, I didn't know it was rare when I played it several months ago. It's actually far too easy of a game, my first quarter got me about 15 minutes of playtime on it, mainly because the balls were constantly going into the pipes, and it's fairly easy to recover the ball from the pipe once it shoots out. So it was basically a long string of the ball falling into the pipe, it shooting out and me hitting it, then it falling into the pipe again and repeat.
@ChristopherMoom5 жыл бұрын
At least this pinball machine is a lot better than Mario Pinball Land.
@MoonshineGraffiti3 жыл бұрын
I own this pin, and there is in fact a way to flip the ball to the opposite flipper. You just have to anticipate the ball coming out of the pipe, and bounce it off of the tip of the flipper. If done right, you can hold the ball and position it for the left ramp/multiball pipe. The pipes are also not that bad. Just as it seems in the video, many models of this game are missing an important auxiliary board, which activates flashers that tell you when the ball will emerge, and from which pipe. When I first bought mine, it didn't have the board either, which made the game much more difficult. There is actually a brighter side to it's size though; due to the shorter length, it is far less likely than a full-sized pin for your ball to suffer a "SDTM" ("straight-down-the-middle" death, which is when your ball drains after falling the length of the plafield down the center and between the flippers). Thing is, it is likely that very little of this is known due to it's rarity.

First, I'm not a fan of super Mario bros on the NES. Second, wow! You were able to play that pinball machine. I played it at a laundromat years ago, but it got taken out of the place. Third, the predecessor called super Mario bros (pinball) has been put back on the list of games organized by system on the super Mario wiki and lots of games, versions of games, ports and systems are being put on that page all by one guy by looking through the internet and the crevices of the wiki. His name is Lord Falafel and he seems to be doing a great job. He's currently hunting down officially licensed Adobe flash games, but is always looking for other kinds of games.
