From what I can tell, the only two games I'm 100% sure are incompatible with the Switch 2 are Nintendo Labo and Ring Fit Adventure, simply due to the size of the Switch 2 and its Joy-Cons. Those games were designed around the Switch 1's dimensions, so the Switch 2 just won't fit in those games' peripherals. I'm not sure about 1-2-Switch, though, since I've heard mixed things about whether there's an IR camera or not. Also, it wasn't just ANY Nintendo executive who confirmed the Switch 2's backwards compatibility in a tweet; it was *president Shuntaro Furukawa.*

Well, there WAS the 2DS (although it wasn’t exactly entirely its own thing). And the rumor is that not only is there supposed to be a performance boost to original Switch games, but it’s also supposed to have some sort of upscaling of up to 4K resolution supposedly, whether it be through AI upscaling or NVIDIA DLSS, plus the sliding Joy-Cons are supposed to be representative of a likely new feature of them being like computer mice, possibly leading the way for certain features for Mario Maker 3 or a way to bring back games that required the Super NES Mouse accessory, like Mario Paint or the Japanese-exclusive Mario & Wario (which already had all text in English)!
