If you’re curious, we got official art of what Gangle was drawing. It was a picture of her with Pomni and Zooble

If you work a retail/fast food job, then you have to find that balance of working just efficiently enough to where you are a valued employee but not so good a job as to be seen as capable of handling more responsibilities than you are willing to take on.

I would over-perform when I worked nights because I would get anxious about getting yelled at by management and they eventually started over-relying on me to help out other areas who were behind on freight, it actually resulted in back/sciatic nerve pain and frequent panic attacks. Thankfully my workload on days is a lot more manageable, basically just zone my area and do my area returns.

This episode really nails the effects of depression. Gangle is wearing a mask she is unfamiliar with that covers up her tragic face. She's snapping at the dream of being a manga artist towards Jax despite that being her dream in an act of projection. Every criticism she gets feels like her soul being shattered. Then there's her standing listless and sad while staring into space at the end of the day. I know because I've done that as someone who suffers from depression. Thank goodness Pomni and Zooble were there to provide some support.
@Arachnoid27420 сағат бұрын
I just realized that in the training video, when Gangle it's talking about being a comic/manga artist, she's not only referring to herself, but it also explains why we see her draw alot in the show.

I remember someone saying on Twitter that during that this episode was probably the closest we got to witnessing an abstraction. If Pomni hadn't spoken to Gangle during that moment where the camera is zooming in on her during the closing shift, she mostly would have abstracted then be sent to the basement like Kofmo.

Just wanted to leave a comment about the show’s future since Gooseworx (Show Creator) likes to tease a lot of stuff *Spoiler for the amount of episodes we’ll be getting* After Episode 3, Gooseworx revealed that the plan is that there will be nine episodes only. Maybe a few shorts, but no second season. Additionally, she confirmed that each additional episode would center around a specific character. This holds up as she said Gangle would be fourth. Ragatha will be fifth and Jax will be sixth. Seven, Eight, and Nine remain a mystery.

@@That_Doctor_Del_Fella Exactly my thoughts as well. Its my personal belief that a creator should know when to end a story. Great example of this are shows such as Gravity falls, or Breaking Bad. "Blood is thicker than water". So then why do my friends feel more like family than my actual family? Also, blood is just water with red living particles in it, so that analogy falls apart. Funny coming from the asshole who married a single mom and gaslit her kids for most of their childhoods.

My variation of "You got time to lean you got time to clean!" Was my manager saying "You should be doing something." While I'm waiting for an order so I can deliver it to the table or there's nothing to do! I also hate that fast food jobs don't care if you're supposed to leave at a scheduled time. Oooooh, that bit about being delegated and voluntold to do other stations' work after doing your own....that's why more recent jobs (especially retail and food service) have that final caveat of 'any task required of you' at the end of the job description, usually after a metric fuckton of OTHER things to do, because folks started complaining. One of my past jobs was cashier. Job descriptions said 'cashier'. I ended up being a cashier, a stocker, cleanup, inventory, AND opener and closer. They wanna keep the number of hires down while delegating the tasks of three people onto one just to save a few bucks.

I hear you about the problems regarding “the customer is always right” but I think the problem stems deeper than managers leaving out that final part of the phrase to their employees. It’s used more and more by customers themselves who think the phrase gives them entitlement over those who run the business so they can get whatever they want. The problem is customers think the phrase is a Right they have as a customer and not a store policy the company can choose to follow or Not. Any store can deny service or sales if you are “that guy” and/or call the authorities should things escalate.

Caine continues to scare me more with every episode. While he has no malicious intent and can't directly affect the minds of the troupe, we see there are a lot of scary things he can do. He can A: take direct control of people's bodies against their will as he did with the spirits in the haunted house. B: Program AI to taunt people over genuine trauma, probably without even realizing that's what he's doing. C: Create drugs with mind manipulating effects, such as stupid sauce. He really can do pretty much whatever he wants to them. So we can only pray he never snaps
