Switch 2 will absolutely have DLSS. It's based on the Ampere architecture, so there's no reason not to include the tensor cores for upscaling, especially for handheld mode that will focus on using less power. The question is if they reserve die space for RT cores. I doubt it since we're not at a point where RT, even when hardware accelerated, doesn't have significant impact to performance, which Switch 2 will struggle with.

The chip running the switch 2 will provided by Nvidia and will likely offer DLSS, but be named something very Nintendo. To get them over the perceived power issues they may use Nvidia Geforce now on the backend to do all the heavy lifting.

I think the magnetic rail is the x factor The rail goes around the edge of the controller allowing for landscape or portrait play meaning ds games could be backwards compatible

The Sony remasters make sense… put the best version of the game forward so it’s playable in its best form on the newest gen hardware. But, for me, it just feels a little cash grabby when on my Xbox all these games are just series X / S optimized and so many back compat titles are upresed and have the 60fps boost. The work is done in the background but all my titles are just there and ready to rock. I don’t have to spend $70 on a game I’ve already played. Idk I know I don’t have to buy it, so who cares if some people do. I just can’t help but think that manpower and resources are being used to make these projects happen when, it feels like from the outside, that those resources and dev members could be utilized to get more new games or content drops out quicker and more consistently…

The Nintendo Switch 2 has one major problem in front of it just one hard drive space. They are going to have to find a way to allow for you to put much bigger games on that platform. Nintendo has no problem making games that are very small lots of graphical Fidelity, but what are you going tell third-party developers when they are asked hey can you bring your game to Nintendo switch 2. You can’t just make it fit because 256 GB is not a lot of space and when you start looking at games that can run on a PS4 what happens when those games hit 20 GB or 30 GB or 40 GB in suze. Let’s remember they may have cartridges but even the cartridges have to save the game on the platform for you to play it and you need to download updates which take up space oh yes and don’t forget you need an operating system. That’s going to take up space two so it’s not 256 GB you’re looking at much less space Where are they going to get space that people will want to play their games on buy a Nintendo switch you can keep 10 games on it. Nobody’s gonna want to hear that. That’s 10 games if they are 20 GB, but if there are games that are 40 GB you know games like call of duty or Mortal Kombat or any of those games from last generation , you’re going to run out of room

So the crazy thing about Switch games is they dont tend to be that big. Nintendo is really good at keeping the size down. At most switch 2 games will run at 1440p 60fps most of the time. so I dont see their size increasing that much. Plus its probably going to use the same SD card size as the switch and we already have 1TB SD cards so memory shouldnt be a major issue

The Playstation fans crying and pointing at Nintendo remasters not getting the same negativity don’t realize that Nintendo is able to do this because THEY ACTUALLY MAKE BRAND NEW GAMES FREQUENTLY. Not only do they actually still make at least twice as many new games versus the number of remasters, but none of those can be played on the Switch unlike Horizon Zero Dawn which can already be played on the PS5 at 4K60. Another big difference is that fans are actually asking for these remasters, Barret can whine about Twilight Princess/Wind Waker HD BECAUSE we’re getting a brand new game in Echoes of Wisdom in just 1 more week and we also got brand new Zelda game last year with Tears of the Kingdom. PlayStation is already at 5 remasters or something similar this year while only releasing a single new game for the entire year with Astro Bot.
