Numbers is universal language, Nintendo is a world wide company not to mention based in Japan , 02,04,2025 is something everyone should be able to understand, if they wrote “April” instead of “04” it alienates every country that doesn’t speak English, pipe down , Xbox since it’s an American company I get it if you say they should write “April 2nd, 2025” but it’s Nintendo , not Xbox

I think we’re looking at a Cannonball Run version of Mario Kart, as in a cross-country race.

I get a feeling that this new Mario Kart may be a "Cannonball Run" type of game. Maybe a more straight forward racing experience like the straight-away tracks that don't repeat. Seems like the races are larger than repeating tracks. That would be wild.

Unpopular opinion but I prefer traditional karts, you can't customise a kart as iconic as the quacker

I think the size and the curve redesign of the joycon will make them much much more comfortable to use especially in handheld mode

I’ll put up with the visuals IF there’s some crazy twist with the tracks that justifies it. Because sure, doubling the racers on screen probably has an effect, but I can’t imagine it’s THAT huge to take up all the new processing power. Even still, I think the art style could’ve been changed at least. Heck, it looks like a Mario Kart Tour track added to MK8 with how simple/plain things like the buildings look. The asphalt and dirt look better, but that’s it. Just looking at it, you would think it’s a Switch 1 game or a mod.

Maybe the tracks are also bigger to properly support 200cc? Because at least half of the 8/8D tracks were not made with it in mind. Although unless you scale the track, that would make the other CC’s more boring if you had to trek the same wide distance in a shorter time.

I’m so excited for the switch 2 and the new Mario kart! This track looks like an almost an exact copy of radiator springs and the radiator springs track from the Disney cars movies. Those movies were my childhood!

I’d be fine with no customizable karts, so long as there’s a long of designs and good stats. It was nice to collect different parts, but it’s also tedious doing all the comparisons. Didn’t play with others locally much, but that can be cumbersome for friends too. They’re not gonna sit there comparing the karts and wheel types for stats, so they’ll choose something that looks basic (or just design wise) and it may be crummy stats. They already don’t show you how the character affects the car stats, and you’d have to go back and forth between choosing characters and karts. It was all too much and poorly laid out. And really, it’s just the body design people care about. The paraglider you barely see, and all the wheels were just bigger/smaller circles that you’ll also barely see. Make karts and characters unlockable, and that’ll be enough.

Super excited for the Switch 2. Like you said for the first time in years and years we get a big graphical leap from Nintendo. 3rd party support should be great and i am curious to see what Nintendo itself does with all the extra power.

More likely that they just don’t want to show off too many characters to start yet, especially since they have new models. I don’t think OG Mario Kart 8 showed all the characters in the base roster in its first trailer.

That’s how the date is written in a number of countries. I thought the same about it happening in February when watching people react to the American broadcast. We are all wishful thinkers 😅 13:31

They made the 2 large to send a clear message to people that it's the successor to the Switch. It's that big and in your face..Nintendo knows people will not get it otherwise lol I still can't believe people didn't get the Wii U when it was introduced smh..

I like the Switch and an upgrade to that is a good thing but I can't deny this is possibly Nintendos most boring console ever.
