The "(color) screen of death" error actually happens because the console's motherboard has been broken by knocks to the console or unintentional drops. To fix it, you have to buy a new motherboard (which costs more than the console itself) so it would be better to buy a new Nintendo Switch. This also appears in orange color, blue color, red color, pink color, green color, etc.

I was actually one of the first people to complain about this, as far as I'm aware. happened to me 2 minutes after among us launched on switch

@@kirbywithaknifeisawesome6028 there were icons for twitter, discord, and facebook on the main menu screen. you couldnt get to them with a controller, you had to use the touch screen to physically touch them. if you touched facebook, the switch browser would open up, with the official among us facebook page. Had you touched twitter or discord, your entire system would crash. If you're wondering why this would happen, me and a couple of other people well versed in stuff like this came up with a very likely theory; the game was a direct port of the android version, just with controller support. When you tapped on either icon on an Android device, the game would scan your device to see if you have the Discord or Twitter apps installed. Since the switch does not have the ability to use the google play store, and doesn't have the ability to run those apps either, it fails to do anything. (just to clear things up, the switch OS is an INSANELY heavily modified version of android 5 or 6, not sure of the exact version, but this might have been the reason the android port was used; not that much code had to be changed.) Now you might still be asking, "why would that cause the whole system to crash, instead of just the software?" which is a very good question, and here's why. Nintendo takes insane measures to stop the switch from being homebrewed/modified. Since the game wanted to search the root of the console, the switch might have picked it up as an attempt to execute a file that's not meant to be there. (aka homebrew launcher, anything of the sort.) TLDR: lazyness lead to major oversight, switch picked it up as malicious code attempting to execute a file it shouldn't.

Here's what each error code listed in this video means: 2162-0002: A possible defect in the WiFi chip in the motherboard. 2153-0321: The console needs to be serviced. 2005-0003: A possible issue with your MicroSD card while downloading software. 2011-0301: The console needs to be serviced in maintenance mode. 2168-0002: A possible communication problem between the console and your WiFi router/hotspot.

I was so scared, thinking my Switch had a bios corruption, but then I realized I had the model that getting that Error is pretty common, and that calmed me down. I often get the “Software was closed because an error occurred”, but I don’t worry about that. I get it very often.

You forgot the "Data could not be displayed" error. It's an error that only occurs in the album folder and is not well-known. It's easy to get this error by taking out the micro SD card, going into the album folder, and swapping an already-existing screenshot with another picture. (It needs to have the same name and format as the existing screenshot.) It will appear in the Switch's album as a question mark. Hope this helps.

That was probably one of the most frustrating experiences I've had with a Nintendo console, because there was literally no way to fix the issue, and I had to send my console to Nintendo Support to get it fixed. Blue screen - simple console crash just restart Orange Screen - usually happens when the wifi IC becomes faulty, since the BGA and the IC are so close together, the BGA could actually get knocked out of place making commucation glitch. causing the orange screen. 1:36 If this happens to you and you know the fan is plugged into the console, the fan could have died. 3:05 Could be a loading error within system, simply try holding the power button for 12 seconds. I actually had a different error where the screen was stuck on 1 frame until the battery ran out I'm not sure why it happened but it just happened while I was watching a video. Also in case your wondering once the battery dies it just shuts off and you can charge it again and it'll be normal so don't worry.

My switch lite once decided to bootloop and I had to send the console to Nintendo. Keep in mind: my dad bought me a switch lite because my regular switch had a black screen of death and we were waiting to get it back from Nintendo. Good times.

The easiest way to crash the application: first,get into this game: super smash bros ultimate, second go to level editor,third make a shape of a triangle and stretch it very much (do not do it upper) and lastly, play and step on top of triangle,and crash! That was hard to type... Bonus: 🚙

The game crash one is common especially if you got your Switch from launch day to about 1 year after launch, a system update fixed the constant crashing though. I got a weird error code once when I put in Splatoon 2 wrong, it said the error code is for unreadable cards.

every time i put in splatoon 2 i get an error (the game card could not be read? I think), it wasn't too bad cause if I blew the dust off of the cartridge and the card slot it would work perfectly after that but it was still annoying. ofc it's not too bad now i have splatoon 3 but when I play 2 occasionally it still does that lol

2:19 I got that error before when my nintendo switch was in sleep mode and I didn't realize it until the next day, it is working fine now but experiencing that error was scary
