Great video! NO ONE else tells you how to update these things! So im happy you did since I've got mine to work for me a handful of times by manually putting the proper updated files onto it but it also doesn't work all the time so hopefully this makes mine more than just a jig holder lol

hey quick question: my rcm uploader doesnt appear what so ever on my pc. I tried multiple cables, multiple usb port and multiple computers. Any ideas?

Are you getting any lights on it whatsoever? I’ve found they are super finicky if they aren’t “charged”. Try leaving it plugged in few a few hours, then unplug, and press the button, you should at least get a red/blue or green single flash then. 🤞

I am having a similar issue and I've had mine for years and upgraded it before on a different computer. I am wondering 2 things, either the cable is the issue, or the new computer only has usb 3.0 connections...I wonder if the older usb inputs might be needed.

This on its own didn't work for me. My rcm loader still wouldn't boot my console into a payload. So what I had to do and I'm not quite sure which one worked but I manually added fusee.bin to the loader and renamed it payloads.bin. it still didn't work so I added update.bin as well as a file I had called dragonboot_AMS_Universal.bin after that the loader boots into the atmosphere payload no problems. Hopefully that helps someone else

Stupid question, but once I do this, can I just plug the rcm loader into my unmodded/unpatched V1 switch (obviously I do the little rig/boot thing so it goes into a black screen). Would it automatically mod my switch? Without doing it the hard way that I see people do online where they download stuff left and right and use sd cards to transfer stuff and what not.

You’ll still need to do the entire sd card formatting and learn some of the tools, this method just allows you to not have to open the switch and solder in the components to get into the boot exploit (the rcm loader does this part)

That program pulls the latest version. No need to update anything.

This is the second RCMLoader I ordered, when I plug in to the PC, PC doesn't recognize it at all, I tried with many cables, I tried on MacOS, Windows, nothing recognizes the RCMLoader. Do you have any clue why could it be? First I thought the first RCMLoader I ordered from Aliexpress is defective, I ordered second one, and same. I simply plug it in and expect PC to recognize it as a flash driver, right? Am I doing something wrong?

You’ve got to plug it in and hit the button at the EXACT same time. It may take a couple of tries. The folder won’t pop up until you’ve loaded it with files. Also, you need to leave it plugged in for an hour or so first to charge up the internal battery in it. That can cause similar problems…

It’ll only do that AFTER you first connect to it and upload files to it. Try your timing again with a different cable. It’s not broken, just frustrating how perfect the timing needs to be!

Appreciate the vid mate but ngl the timing is impossible, my RCM loader does the job but I wanna have the peace of mind that it's up to date. Since the firmware was last updated in 2022, I'm just gonna make myself believe that the manufacturer used the latest version

You’re not wrong. The timing is a total PITA. If it works, no need to update 🤷‍♂️

You have to get the timing just right. Press the button at the exact moment you plug in the cable…I know it’s frustrating, which is why I made this video! You can do it. Just keep trying.

Ahh. Try leaving it plugged in to “charge” for an hour or so before you give up! Mine all shipped with very dead batteries and were useless until they got a bit of a charge.

@@Randyisanerd If i have an rcmloader do i have to update the loader with new payloads for new atmosphere/hekate versions and if so do you have a video showing how to do that ?
