It's confirmed through Famitsu that only the main characters have unique class while everyone else have clone movesets through the class system. What they done instead is that every character has a preferred class which adds new things to their moveset.

At the pace of the trailer releases so far it would be criminally underwhelming if the Ashen Wolves are not in the base game and unlike with some fighting games most times a game releases dlc characters they don’t return only as another dlc multiple times. So I’ll hold a slight bit of hope that they are not exclusive to dlc again. It won’t affect my purchase of the game but I will be a bit distracted if they do get omitted from the base game again.

Yeah, there were several parts in Crimson Flower that I thought deserved animated cutscenes. 1. Giving CF it's own Battle of Garreg Mach cutscene, like the one for SS, AM, and VW. 2. Make a cutscene for the Javelin of Light hitting Arianrhod, like the one for Fort Merceus. 3. The scene from CF that most deserves a cutscene (that didn't get one) is the conversation between Edelgard and Dimitri after you defeat him.

Not just cause of that scene from that trailer of Hubert looking like he was going to attack Ferdinand. But in these trailers they've been having the characters comment on each other as they're revealed. But in this one, Ferdinand doesn't remark on Bernadetta and following that Caspar doesn't remark on him. Which is making me think that maybe Ferdinand leaves them.

After all, the Blue Lions trailer last week set the precedent so they probably wanted the Black Eagles trailer to follow suit with some characters responding to each other. But I don't think that implies the split route itself. Mainly because not every character necessarily responded to each other anyway. I do think the scene with Hubert and Ferdinand from the second trailer could be telling, though. It seemed like Hubert was acting like "you're either with us or against us." And he might have been aiming dark magic at Ferdinand in that scene too. So in this potential, Ferdinand (and the other Black Eagles) may pull a pseudo SS on us, and create their own separate route without Edelgard and Hubert. Similar to how SS was a route where Edelgard and Hubert left the team.

Though I do get that it probably wouldn't be the best from a gameplay design point to loose a decent chunk of your army that you've spent half the game building up, plus they'd take their inventory with them (which is how I lost one of the Sacred Weapons in Crimson Flower as Flayn took it with her).

Black Eagles: The most unique House, telling the tale from the perspective of a Red Emperor archetype. Blue Lions: The most 'traditional' House. Dimitri and the others remind me of old Fire Emblem characters (Ex: Mercedes resembling cleric, Dedue resembling warrior, etc.) Golden Deer: The most 'gimmiky' house. These characters remind me of newer Fire Emblem characters (mostly Fates), having colorful personalities like Arthur's bad luck, Oboro's dark side towards Nohr, etc.

Tbh I think you're forgetting the fact that every house has characters that resemble those of old. It's not just "traditional house" or "gimmick house." Just as an example, Claude is an homage to Lewyn, Joshua etc of the foreign prince hiding their royalty. Caspar in his ending with Linhardt (green haired magic unit) kinda remind one of Ike and Soren traveling the continent together. Also, every character plays into an established FE archetype, not just Edelgard and the red emperor trope. SS is also a route that plays differently because you lose your main Lord, so it's not like Black Eagles only have CF from the perspective of the antagonist either.

I got SS Final map done my first try, but to be fair I did have an absurd amount of turns (50+ I think) because I forced myself to use mostly non-students, since it was my last Maddening route and I wanted to utilize every unit. CF... Edelgard... Raging Storm lol.

@@methodius--9405 I mean, while I love Ferdinand in SS, it's still more that Byleth opposed Edelgard and the 6 Black Eagles sided with Byleth here. In CF, it's still Byleth calling the shots, and the 6 Black Eagles simply stay with Byleth and Edelgard too. But yeah, CF needed more of Ferdinand properly serving as prime minister and advisor to Edelgard to convince her that she's wrong about things.

Ok really wow, you can tell the amount of love that went into this game, based on the past few trailers, they have made everyone unique, even the mages. There seems to be so much variety in play styles and I can’t wait for this future best warriors game ever to come out! Aside from maybe persona 5 strikers, that game was fantastic.

The FE Warriors twitter account revealed a couple things about each of the characters’ playstyle: As an Armored Lord, Edelgard's attacks have got a flame affinity, which will deal continuous damage to enemies and explode when enemies are attacked As a Dark Mage, Hubert can mark enemies with spikes which will detonate when targeted, causing a dark element attack As a Mage, Dorothea can create musical orbs with her attacks, which can blow up causing different elemental explosions As a Holy Knight, Ferdinand can use both the lance and magic. His speed will also increase alongside his hit count As an Archer, Bernadetta can summon a field to entrap enemies. Her critical rate will also increase when inside this field As a Brigand, Caspar can launch enemies skyward with his attacks, draw them together, and increase his might and range by charging As a Thief, Petra can dodge using wind element dash attacks As a Priest, Linhardt can affect enemies with an afterglow which will heal the party when attacked, and can also summon wind orbs that attack automatically

Thoughts? Personally, I think… Edelgard’s colors pop and she’s beautiful. Hubert is loyal and edgy, and I love it. Dorothea’s hair and dress matches her perfectly. Bernadetta’s personalized hiding animation and scream is so funny and sweet. Ferdinand is Ferdinand Von Aegir. The legitimate son of the Aegir Family. I hope he never changes. Casper’s scar is as sick as his shouting. Petra’s design is beautiful and I love that her design is based off of Brigid. Linhardt’s hair is such an amazing combination of both pre-timeskip and post-timeskip. Therefore, I cannot wait to play this game!

I agree with most, but I strongly dislike Bernie's hair. As someone who's a Bernie simp and S-ranked her in all 750+ hours of the game I have, I am disappointed.

This was the house I've been looking forward to the most and I am not disappointed! The only one I'm not crazy about is Bernie's, but it does suit her character. That and she's trying her best and that's all I could possibly ask of her. Also just found out through this comments section that Billy Kametz has cancer, so I'd like to take a moment to send all my love to him. He's offered up his voice to several things I love very much and I hope he shows this cancer what for. Love you, Billy!
