Lysithea had one of, if not the best timeskip designs anyway, I would say the new one is great but still a bit below the extremely high bar set by her original timeskip costume, it's clear they tried to be safe with that one by not changing too much because it was already legendary.

They really got creative with the attack animations for the golden deer. The paint aesthetic with ignatz’s arrows, the combination of reason and faith magic with lysithea, the use of reason with Lorenz, the bolting effect with Hilda… this game is awesome

I'm a golden deer main, but I think they got the best redesigns period. Marianne, Lysithea, and Hilda are gorgeous. Raphael got a major upgrade. Claude, Ignatz, and Lorenz are as handsome as ever. Leonie has that perfect balance between her ladylike adult design and her tomboyish teenager design.

I was initially sad in seeing the eyebags under Marianne's eyes once again, as I didn't wanna see the poor thing depressed with things; but then a friend of mine pointed out that she probably has them because Byleth isn't around to support and be there for her. Clever little touch, I'll admit. Either way, she looks absolutely beautiful! Everyone else looks great too! I especially like Lysithea's and Ignatz's redesigns! Although I will say this: I'm slightly disappointed that Raphael's new design doesn't have him with a beard. His new design is great and all, but for some reason, I was kind of hoping he'd have a beard.

Marianne can summon dorte to fight with her, it’s so wholesome!!! Ignatz has colorful pigments mixed in with his attacks to represent his love of art, Lorenz’s hair doesn’t look completely awful now (it reminds me a bit of the berries and cream guy for some reason though), and lysithea uses a mix of reason and faith in her attacks.

Marianne and Lysithea are adorable. Also love how it doesn’t seem there are any clones and thank god the archers and mages have different colors for their attacks. My OCD wants everyone to be unique even if it’s ascetic.
