erivera94 no. The National dex just means all pokemon are obtainable in the base game. The most recent mainline entries did not have a National dex, but all pokemon could be transferred into the game. They were all coded into the game. This new game won’t even have the code for a few hundred Pokémon, therefore negating Pokémon’s purpose. It’s to focus on enhancing designs, yet the battle animations aren’t any better. Size of the dynamax pokemon aren’t to scale either; a raichu is the same height as a gyrados (what?)

That's not a significant enough effort investment to justify axing half the roster. The rest of this is stuff they decided to add, and should have been prioritized AFTER completing the base game. Do I want that cool extra stuff? Sure. (Except for Dynamax and Raid Battles. Those look like "Mega Evolution But Blander" and "Haha Now You Have To Cough Up For Switch Online" respectively.) But those are frosting, not the cake. Extras like a return to Kalos or mining would be neato, sure. But that's like saying "We had to remove the wheels from this car to save budget to add seat warmers and cup holders." The point of a car is to get me places. If it doesn't get me places, any additional bells and whistles are meaningless. The point of Pokemon is to catch em all. If I cannot catch em all, none of this extra stuff helps me. Without the ability to complete a collection, Pokemon is just a pretty below average series of JRPGs where none of the party members can talk. If you like Pokemon as a pure JRPG, rock on with your bad self. But it's not getting my money until I can do the thing that I buy Pokemon games to do: "Catch. Em. All."
