So, I just saw a glitch video that would totally make it possible to beat Calamity Ganon with tree branches... Using a menu overload glitch, on top of duplicating weapons and shields, you can perform a glitch called durability transfer, letting you give the durability of one weapon or shield to another. This only works between the same category, so no, you can't give a tree branch the durability of the Hylian Shield. Also, in doing the glitch, the item will end up taking one damage of durability. However, this means that you can give a pot lid the durability of a Hylian Shield. Or give a tree branch the durability of a longer lasting weapon. The best you could get is a durability up Biggoron Sword, obtainable only through an amiibo, giving a tree branch with 110 durability. Without amiibo, the best is the Spring Loaded Hammer, giving it 79 durability. Using the boosted damage calculations from an attack boost tree branch with the attack buff of food or the Barbarian set, without amiibo you can get a total damage per tree branch of (78)(6) + 2(6), or 480 damage. With 19 tree branches, that becomes 9,120 damage total. With the Biggoron Sword, it goes up to (109)(6) + 2(6), or 666 (coincidence?) damage per tree branch and 12,654 total damage with a full inventory. With the glitch, you don't even need a full inventory to kill Calamity Ganon with tree branches... Here's the video I saw showing the glitch, which has its own links to the original discovery of the glitch: kzbin.info/www/bejne/g5TKpHt7rNGBfZo

Imagine Link rolling up to the final fight, and before Ganon strikes, Link holds up his finger in a silent, ‘Hold on a minute.’ sense, then goes to the corner, takes out a bag, dumps out a bunch of tree branches which shouldnt even have fit in the bag, takes one then gets back into position. Running over to the pile to get a new one every time the current tree branch breaks, and Ganon is somehow respectful enough to not destroy his stock of tree branches during the fight.

There are durability glitches where you can swap durability between weapons, and also frame-perfect ways to attack without using durability. It's thus TECHNICALLY possible to defeat calamity ganon with one single stick, although you'd need to get thousands of frame perfect hits in. If anyone is interested in the first glitch at least, I'd recommend checking out PointCrow's channel - he beat the game with only boat oars w/ the durability glitch (and also beat a lynel with a stick, but that's covered in this video).

@cubicengineering47155 жыл бұрын
What about using glitches such as menu overloading to transfer durability onto the tree branches? Let me do the maths for you. With 79 durability each (from the spring loaded hammer's 80) and doing with the Attack of 6 our potential damage in your inventory is: = 19 * (79 * 6 + 6) = 19 * (80 * 6) = 19 * (480) = 9120 Meaning that you can actually kill gannon TWICE in the optimal scenario with an inventory full of tree branches and still have over a thousand damage to spare, so in fact you only need 9 branches to kill gannon! Now all we need is someone crazy enough to smack gannon 667 times with twigs after grinding out loads of DMG+ ones, getting a high durability weapon and performing a very difficult glitch.

In case you or anyone else wants to know if a specific weapon can be found with a modifier, go to the BOTW Object Map on ZeldaMods and look up the weapon. Scroll through the search results and look for an instance with the attribute "Minimum modifier tier: Blue" or *without* the attribute "No scaling". For your Farming Hoe at 9:10 there is only a single instance that can scale, even to a yellow modifier. It's at the edge of Ginner Woods east of Hateno Tower. Because it doesn't have a minimum Modifier, you'll need to kill some enemies for it to scale up. As for the values themselves, just search for "botw weapon modifier list", go on the GameFAQs page, where a Google spreadsheet will be linked and look up your desired weapon. The Farming Hoe for example has a maximum Attack Up Bonus of 20 (with base damage 16), so its maximum output damage is 36, while its maximum durability is 9 (6 Base + 3 Bonus).

Actually, there's a glitch where if you switch out you're weapon at the right frame, and then switch it back in again, the durability won't change and you'll still deal damage. So theoretically, you could beat Ganon by only using one tree branch.
@nitrosoup40215 жыл бұрын
I know this is late but there's a new glitch that lets you exchange durability of weapons. Say you have tree branch with 4 durability and a spring loaded hammer with 80, with the glitch, you can give the branch 79 durability. Kleric has a vid on it

You can use a durability transfer glitch to transfer the durability of the Spring Hammer to the branch, making each tree branch last 80 hits. With the attack up buff from barbarian armor equipped and the 6 attack stat of the branch, the branch will deal 9 damage a hit. Run the math and a single branch can do 729 damage. So, with the use of glitches it is actually possible to kill ganon with only tree branches!

The Traveler's Claymore, if the stats online are to be believed, can do a total of 210 damage. Unmodified it is 1 point shy of being the ideal weapon for a 4000 HP Calamity Ganon, though I do believe you'd have to damage him other ways to get rid of his protective/damaging aura.
