Grimy food could be a good thing to eat before going up stairs as going up stairs removes any de-buffs and buffs you received. So you fill the belly a bit and go up the stairs to make the status effect a non issue

Dumb fact: Due to how rescue passwords are generated, the character X-star is never used. One thing you can do to help judge distances, is turn the Grids setting on. The official name for the PMD currency is "Poké", but I just call them coins.

Mt. Blaze still is one of the best dungeon themes in the game. I love it so much! It's less so a lack of level holding you back, and more a lack of moves. Since you never bought many TMs from the Kecleon Bros, you're lacking a lot of firepower, especially on Bulba. Since Poison Powder isn't a good move and Leech Seed never gets any value being linked with Sludge, you only really have Vine Whip and Sludge to fight with.

Hi, so this is your introduction to lava in dungeons. Fire-types can walk on it safely. Technically also anything that can float (Flying-type, Levitaters, plus few others) can also go over it, but they will get burned. In original games, Mt. Blaze was also the first time you'd see Kecleon shops inside dungeons. 9:25 - Status condition stuff in this game is different from main series. Sleep is basically its own section, with the regular sleep, Yawning (from Yawn), Nightmare (from, well, Nightmare), Napping (from Rest) and Sleepless (from Uproar preventing sleep). It can co-exist with the other four major status conditions. Unlike in main series, you can override burn, paralysis or poison with the other status (but not freeze, cause freeze in this game temporarily removes you from battle's status quo - you can't do anything to others, but neither can others do to you most of the time). There's also all the minor status conditions that usually are tied to status moves like Reflect, Mist, Focus Energy, etc. Also yes, entering a new floor removes all kind of status conditions. Which means you can walk onto the stairs tile, eat Grimy Food for a bit of Belly, and then use Underfoot to immediately get out.

A slight correction on lava: there's a dedicated lava mobility type that can walk on it safely without needing separate Burn protection. Granted, 99% of Pokémon with lava mobility are indeed Fire types, but a couple notable exceptions are Rhydon and Groudon. ...at least this was true in the original, I haven't checked the remake.

Congrats on getting halfway through Mount Blaze! On top of having one of the best tracks in the game (maybe series), it's also where the gloves come off.

My big advice is to read the bottom right more. Quite a few things happen you can catch by reading. Also, its a turn based game, so take your time! Think about what the enemy is going to do next turn. So if you have 1 square between you and the enemy, if you walk forward, you give them a free hit. If you stand still, theyll walk forward giving you the advantage of first strike. Enjoying the LP. Keep it up

For your Bulbasaur you really should focus on Status moves. Sleep Powder is great and it works in boss fights. Stun Spore to slow them down a bit as well. Poison status not so much. Skitty is a jack of all trades though. They will be your power house!

I know you mentioned it in a previous part of mystery dungeon. But I don't think it's so bad to have an appreciation for references whether it be movies in your case. And in my friend group it was just stuff I heard let's players say. Or stuff that I heard from other series and even if my friends didn't understand my humor it was just kind of nice besides I loved quoting in the bathroom, and get some more toilet paper, as well as son of a pickle, and the love of Hilary Duff on a stick. I’d recommend (just to help you out)Bulbasaur to get Sludge bomb when you see it over Sludge since it’s stronger and better range to 4 tiles for grass moves get energy ball or razor leaf as they got much better range and are stronger than Vine whip. Sleep Power which you can relearn at Gulpin shop is much better than Poison powder since poison to enemies is not good at all inducing sleep is amazing on bosses. Skitty just needs Blizzard and you’ll be good to go for the whole game!

Speaking of turning down your microphone that you mentioned in the beginning of the video, your maximum true peak is -1.6dB and you average at -15dB RMS. Your average peaks are around -5dB, which is pretty good. Your microphone level is good.

@NintendoCapriSun Thanks. If you use OBS, you could probably use a limiter plugin and keep your max peak below -1dB. Just make sure you allow for a good amount of dynamic range in your voice. A good scream when you get a single rupee from a treasure chest would do us some good! :) Hope that helps. I have experience with sound mixing.

Doesn’t look like you’re changing tactics, might need to adjust that if you think that the cpu is doing too much. You can set the partner to “wait there” to keep it from moving, or “let’s go together” if you want them to stay close to you
