When you destroy a rock, it leaves a piece of stone behind. When I destroyed my money rock the other day, I was surprised to receive some bells. I just wanted to move the rock, but I guess this is the 9th set of bells you can get out of it.

Cynt3r this only works with Money Rocks that haven’t been drained of their money. The Money Rock Island has 6 Money Rocks, and if you destroy the Gate Rock, you’ll get 1000 bells from it. Hitting the rock before destroying it can get you over 2000 if you’re fast enough.

It works and after it's on the tv if you run to your parabolic satellite dish outside it moves and shows you where they are. You can find the alien being beamed back into its ship on your island. Search trippy commentaries animal crossing new horizons aliens in youtube.

I think the idea of a money rock giving 9 bunches of bells probably comes from bad counting: The area around the money rock is 3x3, which sounds like 9, but you have to remember the rock itself is in the center square so the max is 8. The timer for the 8th bunch is *very* tight, I can only get it myself using turbo on my third party controller. Even then, it's not consistent. There's no way there's enough time on the timer for a 9th bunch. I'd say it's nothing more than forgetting the rock is taking up one of the squares.

Okay okay, imma help you out: this is the ONLY way to truly manipulate kicking specific villagers off your island. If you see one of your villagers that you like with a thought bubble, make sure your game is saved before you talk to them. Talk to them, and if they give a dialogue that they want to move out, IMMEDIATELY go to your menu and close the game without saving, before answering them. Then, DO NOT speak to them again that day. The next day (unless the next day is Saturday or a Holiday, then you have to wait until the following day after that), someone else will have the “moving out” thought bubble. Cycle through the days until the person you want to leave asks. There you go. Side note: from the day that you ask a villager to leave, it will be 15-18 days until another one asks to leave.

There is no other way to get specific ones off (except Amiibo) ignoring them, being extra friendly, hitting them, etc, do not and will not work. If it “works” for you, that is a coincidence. The only other requirement for them to ask to move is that you’re friends enough with them to be able to give them gifts.

when im shaking trees i have my net out ... you always turn towards the nest that drops so you can just mash the a button to catch them asap... also if you catch 5 in a row you get Nook miles for it (only the first time though)

You actually can get a ninth material for any rock. You just get the mats like normal, then eat a fruit to break the rock, and when the rock breaks it gives you the ninth material. Ik I’m late but I hope this helps!

I'm surprised no one talks about this... If you want a villagaer to move and you have Amiibo Cards, you can invite a villager to the campsite and ask them to move in. When they say the village is full, you're given the option to say "Oh, well So-And-So is moving." They say they'll check with them, and immediately come back with a "Hey, you were right! That annoying chicken really is moving. Now we're neighbors." I only tried this once, trying to get Gruff when I had a full town, but it worked.
